Read it as a tween and wished I had read it later

I love this book, it has changed how i think of things and a lot of my perspective on life. Ever since I read it, I have taken seriously some things that I hadn't before, and Baily had been my kind-of literary role model, next to don quixote, etc.

Good Read...

I would recommend this book to be for a more mature audience due to the fact that there is some sexy material, like when Toby and Lennie hook up and when her and Joe are on the bed kissing and talking about sex. The language has some cussing but it's not every 5 sentences. There is mention about drugs with her friend Sarah

Raw Story of Loss and Life

Great story--definitely worth your time if you're either 13+ or a mature reader. The characters aren't bad examples, they just like to live on the edge (: It mentions smoking, but it's the main character's uncle who's much older.
