Black Skylands

Parents need to know that Black Skylands is an upcoming action adventure game for Windows PCs. The game's set in the land of Aspya, which is set in the clouds amongst a group of floating islands and airships that travel from place to place, delivering goods and supporting communities. Unfortunately, much of the peace of these islands is destroyed when a sky pilot travels beyond the boundaries of their known world and returns with a creature from the species known as The Swarm. When the creature threatens a child, the crossfire used to destroy it injures the leader of the Falcons, which are the skilled hunters and soldiers in this land. That one accident plunges the islands into war. Players take on the role of Eva, a young girl from the Earner family, who has lived through this warfare for seven years. It falls to her to figure out a way to defend her floating home from invading attacks from the Falcons while also preparing for potential threats from the Swarm as well. Gameplay is a mix of city building and open world exploration, as players will construct facilities like workshops to develop weapon and ship upgrades or factories to handle the resources that you gather from your farms or from your journeys to keep the people at your base fed. You'll also need to go out in your own airship, clearing neighboring islands of Falcon control, which will enhance the strength of your base and bring new people to your lands, thereby allowing you to gain new enhancements for your character. Players can follow the story missions, but they can also freely explore the islands, taking territory as they see fit. Players will engage in aerial combat with cannons from their ship, use firearms, grappling hooks, and pickaxes to eliminate enemies. While blood is shown in some fights, the top down and animated visuals limit the impact of the violence.
