Great game! Very difficult! Cartoon gore

The gore isn’t major due to the fact that the color scheme is so bright. When you hit characters the show a flash of pink or green blood. You may not even notice it. It’s not very scary. The opening scene has a view of the main character in a lake of blood surrounded by dead bodies and skeletons but it’s very brief and you may not notice that is what he is standing in. It is a difficult game and I think the characters have very pure motives behind their killing monsters. There are dead bodies lying around in some areas. In one spot there are monsters piling up bodies while you walk into a room. It’s all not realistic. I recommend this game to ages 8 and up

This is good

The first thing you'll notice about this game is its visuals. They are stunning. The colour palette is vibrant, cohesive and brilliant. The pixel art visuals are exquisite and the animation is great. This, however, is not an easy game. You'll die many times on bosses and some regular encounters. The exploration is also tough, and sometimes finding the boss is hard. There is some unrealistic pink blood that appears when the Drifter dies, or when he's on low health. The enemies also get beheaded if using a charge attack, but it's all very cartoony and realistic- there is no violence against humans here, just aliens of various shades of green or red. If your child is a capable gamer who is fairly mature, regardless of age, let them play this. However, I'm saying 12+ as a recommended age for the most immature children, but I'm sure most 11-year-olds can handle it.
