good game 14+

great game with awsome graphics. the violence has pretty brutal knife kills but the blood is less realistic than call of duty and battlefield series and the language in this game is everyday hearing of swearwords the game is based in the future so all weapons (except knife) are unreal for news info traliers funny gaming pics go everything gaming

Not as violent as most reviews say

There is a bit of violence in this game but not very much blood because of the futuristic weapons that you use and the swear words are not overly offense because most of the time you are playing multiplayer where there is very few swear words.

For ages 13+

Killzone has defiantly made its mark on the vita forever. It's stunning graphics and beautiful gameplay rival even the console version, killzone 3. The content is not appropriate for kids under the age of 13 but if you are over the limit you are just fine. The main reason parents do not let their clildren buy violent games is because of the blood, but in killzone mercenary because of the advanced weapenory there is little blood. And the cuss words are not too extensive and do not leave me felling worried about my 13 year old son playing this game.

Violence is the same as COD (call of duty), i'd recommend this game to a vita owner if they can get it under $50, remember this, vita games are expensive, so keep it inmind when buying a console...

BEST HANDHELD SHOOTER THUS FAR

People have waited years for a proper shooter on a portable device, and now the have finally made one. The graphics are on par with early PS3 graphics, has tight controls for the button limitations, and has great audio effects. The stages are varied, the characters (for the most part) are interesting, and the online multiplayer is a blast. Now the online muliplayer options may not be anything remotely special, however the fact that it is portable and done on wifi is a great feat of itself. Honestly you cannot get this kind of stuff on the go. This game is 100% based around shooting. You will run around shooting hundreds of helghast in your battle for humanity as a mercenary. Since you are a mercenary you are fighting only for money, so its disappointing your character has no meaningful motives. There is blood at times, particularly up close when you stab an enemy with a cinematic melee kill. These kills show blood splatting out of wounds as they fall over. Gore is minimal, however if a sniper shot hits an enemy in the head it will be blown off in a small bloody mist. Swearing is limited to a few uses of hell, d*mn, a few uses of sh*t and b*stard. swearing is virtually non existent amongst all the shooting however. There is nothing sexual in this game whatsoever. There is no communication between players during multiplayer, nor is anything personal displayed, so the online experience is very tame. If you have a PS VITA you probably already own this game, if you dont then you are missing out on one of the best shooters to grace a portable system.

Not that bad

Swearing is actually very rare, hardly any blood but I would not recommend for kids under 12

Its violent but not that bad

this game is no doubt violent however all weapons are futuristic and don't have real bullets (the knife is an exception)meaning that so long as your child is mature enough it should be fine. Also the language used in this game is no worse than in a 12 rated movie.
