Ease of play

The beauty of the timeless game of Mahjong is that it is incredibly easy to grasp, but only the most brilliant players will be able to clear almost every board. The game offers help for players who are new to Mahjong but nevertheless offers a challenge to encourage players to get better and continue to scan for not only a pair of matching tiles, but also the most strategic pair of matching tiles.

Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that Mahjong Cub3d is based on the centuries-old, timeless tile-matching game of Mahjong. Players scan a board of tiles all with seemingly different patterns and designs on them. If there are two tiles that match, players tap on them to remove them from the game board. But if one of these tiles is buried under another tile, it is inaccessible and cannot be tapped. The goal of the game is to clear every tile from the board, which requires players to think critically about which tiles should be removed first in order to prevent a bunch tiles being locked at the end of the round. It's a game that almost anyone can pick up and play, but few can truly master.

What's it about?

In MAHJONG CUB3D , players are treated to the timeless classic game of Mahjong, but there are some twists to keep it fresh and interesting. The highlight is a \"Cube\" mode that presents Mahjong tiles spread throughout the nine sides of a 3D cube, adding a completely new sense of strategy for even veteran Mahjong players. There is also a classic mode to play through the time-honored version of Mahjong, as well as a versus mode.

Is it any good?

Mahjong Cub3d is a fresh and interesting take on the classic Mahjong board game, while still keeping the addicting and replayable qualities that make Mahjong a timeless game. The "Cube" mode not only creates a brand new sense of strategy to the game, but it also shows off the 3DS's 3D capabilities surprisingly well, making it look as though players can literally reach inside and grab the cube of tiles. Even though there's nothing radically different about this game that has been played for centuries, it would make a great addition to the 3DS library of any puzzle game fan.
