What parents need to know

Parents need to know that Star Dynasties is an upcoming strategy game available for download on Windows PCs. The game takes place in the 22nd century, when humanity has started to explore and colonize space, only to be hit with a massive setback as Earth was destroyed in a cataclysmic event known as The Collapse. The ensuing chaos propelled the colonies into a new Dark Ages as a massive amount of knowledge and technical advances were lost, forcing the colonies to fend for themselves. Over time, a new feudalistic society developed as aristocrats fought each other for dominance of star systems. Players take on the role of one of these warlords as they build relationships with the colonies loyal to their house, avenge dishonorable slights against their rule, and conduct warfare. They'll also need to focus on the heirs to their throne and building their familial ties between houses, because as events occur and your characters age, become sick, or potentially die during combat, your heirs will take their place and you'll control their destinies. Gameplay is turn-based, and players will have a certain amount of time to make decisions for their kingdom. These, in turn, will result in events that will randomly be generated, causing varying degrees of success or failure for your plans. But players should be aware that many of these designs won't always come to fruition instantly. In fact, you may need to plan an attack to address a wrong committed against your ancestors, or undermine a rival over the course of a few generations to be truly successful. And you'll need to be careful as well, because rivals will be eager to hunt down state secrets or affairs between members of your house to bring your reign to an end. While players can choose to conduct wars, enact punishments, or fight in ceremonial battles, no blood or gore is shown. Instead, small drawn scenes are displayed indicating the results of your actions, which can show images of destruction or injury. There are also some plots revolving around extramarital affairs and children out of wedlock as well.
