A Lot or a Little?
What you will—and won't—find in this game.
The game is mostly about fighting against "bad guys."
Positive Role Models
Nathan isn't a great role model as he uses violence to get to this alleged treasure, but he's not a malicious person. He's also shown sleeping with his ex who is seeing someone new.
Ease of Play
The game is quite easy to control, with a lengthy tutorial mission to teach players how to manipulate Nathan's character.
Violence & Scariness
While it's not over-the-top compared to other action games, Uncharted 2 does contain violence and some blood. Nathan, the hero, can shoot guns, lob grenades, and even break necks or perform choke-holds on unsuspecting enemies.

Sex, Romance & Nudity
The game doesn't contain nudity but there are suggestive scenes and innuendoes. For example, Nathan's ex-girlfriend climbs on top of him suggestively on a bed. Dialogue suggests sexual activity between these two.

No F-words are in this game, but you can hear words in the dialogue (or yelled during fight scenes) such as "sh-t," "damn," "bastard" and "hell."

Drinking, Drugs & Smoking
Nathan, his friend, and ex-girlfriend are seen drinking what appears to be bottles of beer at an outside bar near the beginning of the game.

Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Uncharted 2 is rated "Teen" because it includes shooting, grenade throwing, and fist-fighting, plus some blood can be seen on the main character Nathan and his defeated enemies. It's not overly violent or gory, mind you, but isn't for young kids or tweens. The game also contains some profanity and sexual references (including a female player seductively sitting on top of a male character while on a bed).
Is It Any Good?
Absolutely. On par with any Hollywood action film -- and perhaps even superior to many of them -- this video game delivers terrific dialogue (with some of the best lip-synching in a game to date), plot twists, a love interest, seedy villains, comedic relief, and huge set pieces in which to play. Helping achieve this cinematic effect is the game's lack of noticeable load times, a Naughty Dog hallmark. While the game keeps you on somewhat of a tight path, you might be forgiving of its linearity because along with the intense single-player campaign and drop-dead gorgeous visuals, there's a host of co-op and head-to-head multiplayer options, with smooth matchmaking functionality. Truly, this game is one of the year's best.
Online interaction: The game includes numerous multiplayer modes -- covering both co-op and competitive options. Gamers can text or talk (with a headset) with others, which might include inappropriate language.
