Cool but violent

wolfenstein is a good game but very violent. It has a lot of blood and gore and swearing but you can skip the innapropriet scenes. I got this for my 13 year old son and he loves it. Sometimes I play it or I'll just watch home play. The swearing is very strong but if your kid is like 12 or older he should know not to reappear these words.

Amazing game

I've played about 75% of this game and it's not too bad. The weapons feel AMAZING, the enemies just explode EVERYWHERE. You use a variety of weapons to shoot your way through from sci-fi weapons to regular 20th century weapons. This game is about shooting, shooting, and shooting. There is also two minor sex scenes, but no nudity is shown. I would say that if your child is mature enough he can play this game. You kill old Nazis, new Nazis, ugly Nazis, robot Nazis, crazy Nazis, moon Nazis, big Nazis, and small Nazis. This game is about killing Nazis.

Interesting... but definitely not for children

A fun first person shooter, it is interesting and creative. As well as highly controversial as it is set in an alternate 1960s where Nazi Germany won WWII... Many Nazi war crimes are shown in the game... Including intense human experiments and torture... During gameplay the player can kill thousands of Nazis with all sorts of weapons, often resulting in gruesome results... Enemies can be blown apart and a lot of blood as well as more gruesome things will be shown... There is also a sex scene, though no nudity is shown...This game is really not meant for children, don't even consider it

Violent shooter that is just so-so.

Wolfenstein is an okay game. At times the gameplay can get a little old and the story and characters aren't very intriguing. There is a little sex, graphic violence, and some strong language. Overall, Wolfenstein is an okay game.

Game of the Year is not very family friendly, it's very Mature.

In Wolfenstein: The New Order, you assume the role of William B.J. Blazkowicks, and very American patriot who ends up in a comma in 1946 after taking shrapnel to the head. He soon wakes up in 1960 and learns that through the access of advanced technology, the Nazis have won World War II and have taken over the world. The game contains a significant amount of violence, swearing and sex. Players assault rifles, sniper rifles, and other weapons to kill Nazi's in over the top ways. Players are frequently able to blow off enemies limbs or heads with their weapons, and slit throats of enemies through stealth takedowns. Sometimes the player can straight up blow up enemies into gory chunks with a laser weapon or grenades. Cutscenes contain even more over-the-top depictions of violence such as an up close camera angle of a man slitting a Nazi's throat, a Nazi repeatadly stabbed to death, a Nazi beaten and interrogated while bound in a chair, and last but definatley not least, a very gruesome scene in which one of B.J.'s old friends is tortured and killed. During the scene B.J.'s friend's eyes are taken out by a scalpel, out on a table as a machine cuts open his back and peels the skin on his back revealing his spinal cord, a drill drilling a hole in the back of his head while another machine sucks his brain out. There is another scene where a Nazi comes into a mental asylum and shoots every patient in the head with a pistol, and kills two innocent doctors. But that's not all, there are not one, but TWO sex scenes in the game. One of those scenes depicts a woman gyrating on top of another mans pelvic area, while another scene shows a man thrusting against a woman on a table. (Neither of these scenes contain nudity, though not obscured well either.) Though it's not a sex scene to just be a sex scene. It shows how two characters relationship evolves and develops. There is one extra scene where a character, heavily inspired by Jimmi Hendrix, gives the player a drop of acid. The player then has hallucinations, and is also rewarded with an armor upgrade. The words "f**k", "Sh*t", appear in the dialogue, as well as one instance of the word "c*nt". Another note to add is that since this game is about Nazis taking over the world, there is A LOT of heavy subject matter, and should be taken into consideration if sensitive to such material. Though the game does the absolute opposite of endorsing or promoting the acts of the Nazi Regime.

Violence and Sexual Content

This game is gory. The main villian cuts out eyes and one man's brain. The problem with this is that it is your choice. You chose who died. This may be a concern for yourself/kid. In game, theres a lot of blood. I mean alot. Enemies can explode into blood. This game also includes a fierce amound of sexual content. The main character and another woman have intercoarse multiple times in cutscenes. No nudity is shown. Swearing: F*** S*** etc. Extra: If you are looking for a long game, dont look towards here, it is 4 discs on the 360, but holds hours of content. The game is still a great one in quality. Fantastic Graphics.

Visually impressive but fails to come together.

If you've played the developers game Rage then you are looking at this being the more tedious, less interesting and vulgar older brother. Replacing what makes alot of shooters work with shock factor and sex scenes. Dual wielding guns is superfluous and does not serve as an advantage as it does in older Halo games and the like. It's a throw away feature. The guns are usually basic and simple aside from the automatic repeater shotgun which is nice but not so novel once you see there is little else in weapons ingenuity. The game mechanics work well but very dull side quests that often strip you of most if not all of your weapons make you groan to get to the next action sequence. The continuity of the game gets broken up so much that it becomes laborious to trudge through often disappointing the player with sequential boring tasks that seem to only fill time to make the game appear longer than it really is. The prequel to this game is not as visually impressive but is put together much better having a pace and gameplay that is overall much more compelling. the atriocities depicted in the game are disturbing at times but come out as the one thing done well in the game that is interesting and original. I like this part of the story because it really is what moves the game forward as you want to eradicate this terrible evil with machine guns, unfortunately with the turtle pace, run of the mill gameplay and unecessary graphic sex this is not worth the time of the average player who has access to many games done much better in the same genre. For obsessive adult FPS fans only.
