It was great totally ok for teens and preteens. My child when and saw it with some friends (I went too) and the loved it, I even enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

I really liked it. There were a few language problems (mentioned above) but overall I think Efron did a wonderful job. I also like he "being the dad" kept at the kids to keep their morals, etc. I would see it again.

Cute for 13 or older, and even then still worthy of some conversations regarding respecting women/self

The sexual references, while not frequent or terribly over the top, aren't appropriate for kids under 13. The cheerleaders were disappointing in that instead of them being highschool age girls doing highschool age routines, they were college age girls with overly sexualized routines. The three girls in the bowling alley asking to be objectified (literally) sexually were unecessary and better fair for raunch, adult-intended movies.
