Independance Day

A fabulous movie for the whole family. Has some intense action and peril, but nothing too bad. All in all, a grand alien flick.

What a great Sci-Fi alien movie!

This movie was plain awesome. But it is not a little kid movie. There are uses of s--t, hell, bitch, bastard and damn. No F-bombs, but every other swear in the book. Also, one scene may be way too scary for kids 8 and 9. It`s where an alien comes alive in a jump-out scene and the alien wrecks everything and even talks in a creepy voice to the president and some other people. There is also a 30-35 second night club scene where a girl named Jazzman is wearing an outfit that looks kinda sex-like. There`s quite a bit of violence, also.

Very similar to Mars Attack

This movie is very good, there is violence, but the graphics are amazing. The movie introduces multiple characters who all come together to celebrate the true meaning of Independence Day. This movie brings together families, and can get freaky at times. But, overall, this movie is one of the best Science-Fiction movies I have ever seen. If you like fast paced movies, this is probably a good choice for you.

Independence Day Review

I think that Independence Day is a very good movie for lots of kids. However there is a mix of violence, language and sensuality that makes it 8+ SEX/NUDITY: 2/10 A brief scene in a club with women wearing G-strings and other flimsy clothes VIOLENCE/GORE: 7/10 Numerous fireballs and cars flying with occasional people A scene where they dissect an alien is bloody and intense and the alien wakes up and kills everyone in the lab A Boy has a bug (Virus) Numerous battle scenes between men and the aliens resulting usually in men dying A women gets injured and dies in a hospital PROFANITY: 5/10 1 mouthing of the f word ( I don't think anybody would notice Numerous anatomical terms Some scatological terms Some religious exclamations Thanks for reading!

Great sequel

Loved it. Loved the original. Will watch it over and over like I did the original in 1996. What is wrong with the complainers. They expect too much. It was just a fantasy. Jeff and Bill looked great

Independence day

This movie has a lot of swearing mostly the f word and b word. It also has some aliens that will smith and his gang try to kill. There are some pretty cool scenes in this movie though. This is a good apocalyptic movie. Mostly because it is not as scary as other apocalypse movies.

Entertaining, but rather disappointing.

Independence Day is not a bad movie, it is fun, entertaining summer blockbuster. Despite, the movie does have some flaws, including the lack of character development and a thin cardboard cutout plot. It could have been more interesting if they dig deeper into the characters' feelings and the past of the aliens.

Wicked Good

At times it was unbearably sad and depressing. I am 11. But I think this movie is amazing, and good for 13-year-olds. One scene involves strippers and I was a little disturbed. The movie, in short, was awesome. There is a lot of swearing. Mostly from Will Smith. There are lots of air battles and wicked explosions. My favorite part was right after the gross part, when they had to dissect an alien. Then my favorite part was when an alien talks through a human. You will be grossed, freaked, and scared out of your mind watching this one. But in a good way.

Really good film.

This film had great graphics, action, and everything. Remember: Don't let kids watch it.

Unoriginal, but still fun to watch; 12 and up

An (un-original) story about aliens invading Earth. Starring Will Smith your kid will definitely want to watch it. Some language. A dissection of an alien may scare younger kids.

A great Scifi action movie.

I really genuinely enjoyed this movie. You learned about the characters at the beginning, unlike most action films now a days that go straight to the explosions. The special effects are great for 1996, and not all too much. The aliens aren't that scary, only when the supposedly dead one becomes alive and strangles someone. Many many people die, and many famous landmarks are destroyed. In the end, it's the cable guy David that saves the world, so I guess it's showing that even if your not in the position of power you can still help. There is some sexual content, like a couple sleeping in the same bed, a man using the bathroom(though you see nothing explicit), a short scene of a strip club and women in skimpy outfits, but that's pretty much it. There's a lot of action and death as the cities are blown up, and swearing, but no 'F-bomb'. In the end, the world comes together and corporates with each other to destroy the Aliens, with even the president helping in the fight. In all, this movie is awesome, and I think a movie that most people will thoroughly enjoy.

Nice Emmerich film with great CGI

This was a great landmark in CGI history. Roland Emmerich once again proves to be a phenomenol director, and the film's acting was very nice. The character development was slightly off, but that is all compensated by it's splended visuals. There is a suggestive scene in a strip club, as well as some language and drinking, but Russell does proves to be a good role model for sacrificing himself to destroy one of the alien ships, the President is a great leader, and David's Jewish father is very kind. This is my second favorite Emmerich film, after 2012 and Godzilla, respectively. Sustained, campy fun for all ages!

My Report.

Ill admit. It totally caught me off guard When that alien in area 51Got up. And the Club? A night Club? REALLY? Sure, Ill give ya that on the clothes. But actual Clubs are worse :L. This movie is pretty nice. My favorite parts when the presidents all like,''Nuke Em!" The violence? Practically nothing. Just, You know, Buildings Go boom, Like unsatisfied Nine Year olds like to see :D Really, Nothing in detail. The aliens, Are not like, Xenomorphs in Alien! They are, Those big eyed things :D And also, They like lasers :D. Language? B**Ch, D**n, Sh*t. Other than that, You can miss out easily :D Thanks For Reading! And BTW some cigars.

Good for 12+

•Movie Review: Independence Day •Recommended Age: 12 •Sexual Content: Two unmarried characters are shown lying in bed.  There is a brief club scene, where a character, along with many other women, are shown in revealing clothing; the woman dances suggestively.  •Violence: Lots of destruction; buildings collapse, crushing people. Cities light on fire, many people are shown injured or dead.  A character is strangled.  An alien is shot and killed.  An alien telepathically tortures a man, before they shoot the alien.  Lots of other violence concerning an alien invasion; aliens fire big lasers, crush buildings, shoot down planes, etc.  •Profanity: B*stard,  Son of a b**ch, Sh*t, Other mild language (h*ll, d*mn, etc.) •Positive Messages: Self-sacrifice to save others you love, standing up for yourself (or in this case your entire planet), etc.  •Consumerism: None.  •Drugs, Smoking, Drinking: None.  Check out more complete, detailed reviews from MovieReviewGuy! commonsensemedia.org/user/moviereviewguy (If you like this review, please give it a good rating!)
