GREAT movie!

One of the funniest most awe-inspiring superhero movie ever! Though like most movies there is violence and sexual situations and intense swearing. But besides those things, it's an excellent movie.

Starts out tamed in the first hour, than the next gets too heavy for young teens. Problems of death, trust, loyalty.

Well I'm 12 and I went to go see Kick-Ass thinking this would be a cool superhero movie. The trailers and TV spots are misguiding. THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR THE LIGHT-HEARTED. Violence is heavy, which includes fantasy violence and one or two disturbing scenes (one of them, 2 main characters are strapped to chairs and severly beaten with brass knuckles, bats, batons and feet, etc, for about 2 minutes, may be disturbing. The language is not THAT much of a big deal, because it's nothing we haven't heard before, but the fact that c--t is used (which isn't even an American word), may disturb some adults. Sex jokes are PG-13 appropriate, and the worst that we see of drug content is inhalation of cocaine through the nose. Good message about standing up though. Cont And Ma

Awesome film, not for little kids. Mature kids.

I love this movie. This is a fantastic movie! But it has violence, strong sexual references, language and drug themes, so not for little kids. OK for mature kids, though. It's just that alot of other people aren't comfortable with their children watching these things. Good film, though. 5 stars. (Good soundtrack, too)

An absolutely great movie... completely an utterly awesome. The title of the movie does not lie... This is an amazing movie for adults and mature teens but it does pose some concerns. It's a lot more violent than you would expect-trust me(blood, gore, guns, blades, you name it and this movie's got it) not to mention that the action is stellar. Their is some sexual jokes and references, but a lot of that depends on how strongly opposed you are against certain things. The last concern is swearing... heavy use of the f word, two uses of the C word, one by a young girl, and some other vulgar language-Altogether this movie does have some "definitely iffy" matieral. It really depends how mature you are, and what you can handle. Altogether this movie was a great movie that maintained heavy and incredible action while adding the element of comedy...very good film. I also like the message it shows, by saying to follow your dreams... or keep trying what you want to do.

i absolutely luv this movie. these old bags dont understand how teenagers enjoy these movies. we all know bad words. we all see violent movies. we all see some sex-ish scenes. GET OVER IT! the movie has a great role model. the superhero's all have a good purpose for what they were doing, which im sure you would be tempted to do the same. and in the scene where kick ass fights against some gangsters near the shopping market. he quotes that he would kill himself to save a man he doesnt even know.

I really love this movie. It's hysterical and really funny, but really violent. The profanity is pretty coarse as well, and the sex is too, including a theme of masturbation in the beginning, and the drugs are shown and referred to. The whole movie is violent, but people better watch out for the part with the human microwave. SPOILER: The man inside tends to explode.

Title says it all

The movie wuz awesome! not dumb and pointless like the other parody's like disaster movie or superhero movie, but the plot was really deep. Violence would be an issue (lots of guns, weapons ect..) But without all those, the movie would be boring. Basically it tells that anyone can be a hero. As for the language, it's just the usual crappy cursing teens use these days. But yeah, not for kids under 13. Whatever it's you guys choice wether the movie sucked or not. I actually the betrayal in the movie and twists. It was kick-butt!!!

Rush to the cinema with all your kids!

Kick-Ass is a rollicking good time from director Matthew Vaughn (Stardust, Layer Cake). It involves beatings, shootings and slashing but are done with a comic book style. I would even go so far as to recommend it as a transition film for kids from 14A to R. The violence is not nearly as graphic as the source material but is about 3 quarters as bad as Kill BIll Vol. 1. There is controversy over Hit-Girl swearing but if you have seen a movie like Pulp Fiction, you know that if some gangster swears its no big deal, but a girls swears and inappropriate content flags go up, but your kids swear just as much so you really shouldn't have a problem and if you do you are an ageist and a sexist. Dave is not an unrodinaraly sexual kid. He is a character who boys will connect with. Big Daddy is a great father figure that you can believe exists. HIt-Girl provides a rare female superhero for girls who don't want to be stupid Barbie clones they are taught to be. The supporting cast including the villain are great. The fights are choreographed fantastically and the writing is very sharp. Great for all boys and girls who are not the Hannah Montana type.
