There are many different ratings to this film which can be confusing and misleading to many. In all the movie's main character does involve an orphan which some did find offensive, but that's natural with the society we live in today. Meet the Robinsons is honestly a great movie! However, I do feel that the plot line would be a little harder to understand for a younger audience, but doesn't mean they won't enjoy it, just simply means they won't get the full meaning of the story. The thing is people are finding it hard to accept that Meet the Robinsons Is more on the realistic side than on the fantasy. Family favorites and classics, such as the incredibles, finding nemo, Etc. Continue to portray a storyline which is not likely possible , and don't get me wrong I love these movies and you'll probably see me as that older kid in line, at the movies trying to get tickets to the sequels, but Meet the Robinsons has a realistic feel to it and may be possible why people are so afraid to open up to it. Although it does take place in a stereotypical future, flying cars, floating houses, robot helpers, which kinda contradicts my whole statement above, it's still has a major concept which kids, or adults, may be facing today. In all, I would say that Meet the Robinsons is defiantly one of their best films. Sure, it's highly underrated but their really isn't anything wrong with it, I actually think it has a great message but that's just me, many others would seem to disagree but in reality it's all about perspective.
