BEST MOVIE EVER!!!

This movie is really cool, but also very violent. The main character uses a drug, (only to forget something bad that happened,). And there is a very brief but graphic sex scene, and a NASTY operation. He says some bad words such as, a s, he l, and one f ck.

It's not graphic like csm says

There are some graphic images, including disturbing parts, but the camera cuts make it brief and THIS MOVIE IS PG-13 PEOPLE. The OFFICIAL MPAAA rating: PG-13 for violence, brief language, sexuality and drug content.

"Minority Report" - Parental and Artistic Review.

Sexual Content: Opening scenes intertwine snippets of passionate kissing and a brutal stabbing. (It turns out that a man discovers his wife bedding someone else). A holographic recording of John's ex-wife shows her wearing a nightie and enticing him to come to bed. While mechanical police drones (known as spyders) search an apartment building, the camera flits overhead, spying on people in their homes (one couple is having sex). Another hologram shows a man's sexual fantasy (the images are brief and distorted, but the sexual connotations are clear). Suggestive dialogue includes a reference to getting "laid" and even references the desires a man has for his cousin. 5.8 out of 10. Violent/Gory Content: Disturbing, disjointed images of future murders play across police video screens. Drownings. Stabbings. Shootings. Strangulations. There's also a lot of violence while John runs from his former colleagues. Personal jetpacks allows for high-speed, airborne combat, raising the pursuit's stakes. John slams one of the cops against a wall and puts a gun to his chin (later he breaks a mirror with another man's head and points a gun at him, too). Stealing an officer's "sick stick," John immediately uses it, causing the victim to projectile vomit. Shockwave guns throw men across rooms, but futuristic methods of violence quickly give way to old-fashioned fisticuffs. At least two men are shot in the chest (blood spurts and oozes). There is also a suicide. 7.1 out of 10. Profanity: 1 "f" word, about 9 "s" words and at least 7 "hells," 5 "damns," 1 "ass," 1 use of "laid" and 1 use of "buggered." 2 middle fingers are given (1 on each hand). Religious exclamations include at least: 6 uses of "Oh, God," 2 each of "Jesus Christ" and "My God," and 1 use each of "For Christ's sake," "Jesus," "Oh, my God" and "God." 5.2 out of 10. Substance Use: John is addicted to a futuristic substance called "clarity." He breathes in the drug using what looks like a modified asthma inhaler. While his doping is illegal and frowned on by officers who find out about it, John never comes clean and the issue is dropped without resolution. Also, there's a futuristic ad shown for beer, and alcohol is consumed by various characters. 4.9 out of 10. Conclusion: Minority Report is one of Steven Spielberg's many masterpieces. It has a great story, good script, fantastic performances, well-developed characters and amazing visual effects. I highly recommend this film and I give it 8.3 out of 10.

Interesting watch--love Spielberg

The violence in this movie was pretty grotesque and the world is gritty and unappetizing. the first 3/4 of the movie is pretty standard action flik, but its the last 1/4 that makes this movie incredibly worth it. the ending is an unsuspected twist and the message and meaning we are left with is breathtaking. Spielberg is, as usual, knockout. The creativity of this movie is a lot of fun. If you're a fan of dystopia-like movies and books or enjoy ones that make you think, this is definitely worth it.

Fascinating Film

This film is amazingly done. It is violent in the way that there are murders and stopped murders. There is a really gross doctor that does a gross operation. I watched it and skipped the operation. It was a great film. I am a huge fan of Spielberg and he has created another wonderfully interesting film.

Minority Report is a well directed film with a complicated storyline.

The Positives are that the storyline is really good (the execution of the premise was really good as well as the movie blended Sci-Fi and mystery seamlessly), the directing is very good (As usual, Steven Spielberg did a wonderful job), The messages are thought-provoking (Free Will and Determinism are key themes), the pace was good, the twists were surprising, the special effects were actually good, Tom Cruise gave a solid performance, and the set pieces were used properly. The only negatives are that some of the acting isn’t that good (Samantha Morton wasn’t that good as Agatha Lively but then again, it isn’t all her fault. She plays a strange character) and there are certain disturbing elements (When Tom Cruises character had to get new eyeballs was a very unsettling scene). I would recommend this film. -Language consists of about 30 profanities(one f-word and about 10 s-words are included) and their is some disturbing violence)A guy has to get his eyeballs removed. It's off-screen but you see his eyeballs later on)

A Strong PG-13 movie

This movie was pretty good. There was lots (i mean a lot) of violence in it such as fights with futuristic guns and punching. There were also some pretty violent visions of murders before they happen. One of the visions i thought was very disturbing. It depicted a woman being drowned. There was a bit of sex in it but not to much. I think its a good movie for older audiences, but not for kids.

Fine for teenagers, a fun ride into the future!!

I really enjoyed this movie, however, I have seen it multiple times and still cannot stand to watch the eyeball operation! Beware: if you are squeamish about vomit, there is a highly visible scene where the character vomits during a fight. Overall it is quite entertaining and the special effects are amazing!

Amazing, but intense, sci-fi flick

This was indeed a great film. The violence is graphic, and there is some heavy stuff about the guy and his kid. But other than that, the movie is really amazing.

BEST MOVIEI I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! yet.

This movie is amazing, powerful, and great! but it has alot of bad content. 1.murdure, fistfights, drownings, shootings, all realistic, bloody and grapic, the pre-cogs are very creepy, also a grusome oporation (implied)in witch the charecter has his eyes replace, 2 scuicides. 2.the movie opens with a pasionet kiss, a women cheats on her husband, a virtuial reality chamber takes you to a strip club (only seen for a brife second). 3.the main charecter abuses drugs (they are never clasified as drugs but you can tell that they are). 4. the main charecter steals, kills and breaks and enters to prove his inocence. so this is a SPECTACULAR movie for teens 13 and up.

Great Movie Not G

This movie is the best. Tom Cruise is amazing. The story is amazing. There are a lot more things to say about this movie. It is my favorite movie ever. I think it is better than the matrix. There are brutal, graphic, and violent murders. John gets his eyes removed. At one point they are in a bag and you see them. There is also language s*** is used a fair amount of times. F*** is used once. Not for people who worry about getting murdered.

Comparitive to the Matrix

This was a great movie. It was somewhat similar to the Matrix in a few ways, but not as violent and just as fun. There wasn't anything really bad here, and the movie kept you on your seat almost all the way through. Thankfully it wasn't a Vanilla Sky 2.

Don't bother

Unless you feel Tom Cruise can do no wrong, avoid this movie. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't good.

Great Movie!!!

The violence is pretty brutal at the begining but later on it lessens. Except for the eyeball thing. Kinda scary but most any kid 11 and up can watch it. Lots of commercialism if thats a problem. He goes into a futuristic gap.

Smart, taut, thriller is much more intense than the matrix.

This movie opens with a man murduring his wifethat was cheating on him, Large amounts of blood are show, and a man is shown being drowned, however its all blurry and very hard to see, more relying on the terrifying screams and quick flashes of him stabbing characters. Murders like these Are shown being rewound, fast forwarded, and paused when the precrime agents are trying to peice it together. Its not for the sqeumish, or weak stomached, becasue all of those images are shown repeatadly. If you ask me this should have been rated R and the matrix rated PG-13. Much stronger language and violence than the matrix. But this movie is great and really worth checking out.

Brilliant sci-fi mystery that's only for teens

Minority Report is a well made sci-fi mystery thriller that I would recommend to teens. This movie not only has some mature content, but may be confusing and/or boring for younger audiences. The movie follows John Anderton (Tom Cruise), the chief of a new Precrime unit. In Precrime, psychic beings call "pre-cogs" predict the details of several future murders. In the movie, it is predicted that Anderton himself will murder a man he doesn't even know. He believes that he is being framed by Danny Witwer(Colin Farell), a young homicide detective questioning every aspect of the system. In order to prove his innocence he runs from the people he once called friends, and into the streets of Washington D.C. Although, some of the content in the movie is only appropriate for teens to view. There are some violent scenes, instances of sexuality, and some strong language. The amount of blood in the movie is moderate, but is still there. For example, there is an eye surgery in the movie in which the characters eyes are completely removed and replaced. Although the surgery is not fully shown, the patient is given a bag with his two bloody eye balls after the surgery. The rest of the violence is disturbing and a bit intense. There are three murders predicted in the entire movie. One is a shooting, the other a stabbing, and one a drowning. The shooting results in some blood on the bullet wound and the stabbing results in bloody bedsheets. The drowning is much more intense then any other scene in the movie because it is slow and the victim tries to scream. That sums the violence shown in the movie. Throughout the course of the movie there are some references to rape and some brief sexual content. For example, in a night, you can see someone getting a lap dance from holographic stripper. When cops are searching a building, a couple having sex ( below shoulders covered by sheets) is shown for a few seconds. There is also a more prolonged sequence in which two people (fully clothed) get into a bed while kissing and moaning. Finally, there are several uses of s*it and one use of f*ck in the movie. Minority Report is an excellent movie that takes a high spot on my favorite movies list. Out of every element in the movie, the plot is the best. The movie has a plot that was greatly thought out. It has many twists and thrilling moments that made me want more. The 2054 setting is brilliantly portrayed and the everything makes sense. The only thing that I didn't like was the first 40 minutes, which could have been shortened. Overall, Minority Report is fantastic film that would be enjoyed by many teens and adults alike.

Predictable, un-thrilling detective movie has aged well.

The first thing you will notice about this movie are the effects, which would be passable today, and back in 2002 must have been ground-breaking. The acting is good throughout, and many interesting ideas are presented. However, the plot is laughably predictable (apart from the last five minutes) there is no-where near enough action, and I couldn't care for any of the characters. Overall, entertaining, but don't expect much. Final Score: 4/10: Below Average.
