What's the Story?
Emperor Mavro has sent thousands of ships to destroy the earth in POWER RANGERS MEGAFORCE: THE LEGENDARY BATTLE. While the newest Power Rangers -- Troy, Noah, Emma, Gia, and Jake -- have been able to defend the planet many times before, this invasion seems especially daunting. As buildings are in rubble and the people are injured in the aftermath of the first wave of the invasion, it seems that all hope is lost. However, those who were Power Rangers in the past have stepped forward to help in the battle. Hundreds of past Rangers must join forces with the newest Rangers to defend their planet and stop the evil machinations of the Emperor and his henchmen.
Is It Any Good?
Longtime fans of the Power Rangers will get a real kick out of this movie. Actors who were Power Rangers dating back to the 1990s are back to team up with the newest Power Rangers to stop Emperor Mavro. Those who remember the show from earlier days will be shocked to realize just how long the Power Rangers have been on TV and DVD.
Aside from the spectacle of the reunion of old cast members, all the typical elements of the Power Rangers are in full effect: the over-the-top bad guys, the never-say-die Power Rangers, and the charmingly cheesy special effects. This one in particular is great fun and serves in part to underscore why the Power Rangers have had such an appeal for such a long time. Even those unfamiliar with the past Power Rangers should enjoy the battle scenes and the action as a whole.
