My type of movie...

I sat down and watched this movie recently...it started off slow with the funny parts. However as time ticked by it got much better and funnier...wackier and crazier... The thing with these movies is that you have to understand what movie they're spoofing to get a laugh out of it otherwise youre just gonna sit there thinking okay...what's meant to be funny about this? All in all I enjoyed it and it's worth a watch if you like slapstick comedy. If not, I wouldn't advise you to watch this.

The smartest one

I chose 17 the movie is great and mature ,but its hard PG-13 movie and a really easy r .so it should be NR meaning as in not rated . By the natural association rating of America this movie is not rated as in Nr .the movie focuses on dedication .while they say this movie is a horror thriller it is not.they just say that to thrill people. It just a normal comedy film.by so far this is the bets film in the scary film franchise. Don't bother to see the other scary movie films .there just stupid .but scary movie5 is good.all the way.but some dirty content.language includes one use of f-k several uses of s--t b-lls a-s c--p and more .parcial nudity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two girls in a shower are shown soaping each other naked.there breast are shown .brief shots of penis.linsey loam makes a tape of kissing another guy in bed.besides the sexual content and language thre is a lesson and are role models in this movie as usual jokes are based on stereo types, poop jokes and solidly humor characters never seem to learn any thing let alone lt awareness make things easy.i give this movie 4/5stars and say its a great movie for ages 17 and up because I'm 16 and I did not find it that suitible For me 16 + 1= ages 17 and up .the age system that I have is using math and calculating the age .thats what I usually do.17is what they mean by mature . You know how is for mature because it mean under 17 requires accompanying parent or that's r today's rating system is a whole lot different from the 1900 's rating System I'm Daniel khan . But watch if you only like or prefer this kind of thorough but likable movie ///film

Funny, but inappropriate

It definitely earns a lot of laughs, but most of the crude humor will go over younger viewers heads. Otherwise, it's a great, hilarious movie.

Great but way too lewd for tweens.

This movie in my opinion is ok for teens 14+, but it is really raunchy, but not too explicit. Heavy on slapstick and some drug use. Ok movie but it is heavy on the raunch.

Dull, and painfully unfunny! This franchise is officially dead!

After 3 hilarious movies (1,2, and 4) and one boring movie (3), we now get what is easily the worst of the franchise! There is not a single funny scene in this movie, at all! The jokes are terrible, and the dialogue, forget about it! Not worth your time and money!

Don't really bother, the scary movie franchise has became to okay to dumb. It has humor for an R-Rated movie. This movie is only good for if you wanna have a movie night with someone but your not looking for anything that your going to love and your just interested to watch a movie to just sit and watch through than this is for you. The content in this movie is not for KIDS, there are a lot of sex dialogue, humor, profanity and comic violence.

Reincarnation of the parody series lacks comedic talent but is filled with crude and gory content

If there's one thing that "Scary Movie 5" does better than 3 and 4, it is that it, like the first two installments, largely sticks to the horror genre. It is based around "Mama", "The Cabin in the Woods", "Paranormal Activity", "Evil Dead" and "Black Swan" and more. Sure, one could argue that the latter is more of an artful drama than a horror flick, but it definitely fits the dark mood. Indeed, this movie again succeeds in recreating a dark atmosphere, and then turning it to something silly. However, almost all of the jokes are terribly executed. Not only is it hard to understand certain jokes if you have not seen the original movies (which was not the case with the other Scary Movies), several of the gags are unpleasant to watch. It focuses on toilet humour, has a very cheap visual appeal, features prolonged repetitions of gags that were lazily written and executed in the first place, and, most of all, lacks the spirit the saga had up to this point. Replacing Anna Faris with Ashley Tisdale doomed the movie, mostly due to her new character being mean-spirited an not likable, in contrast to naive and clumsy Cindy Campbell. Overall, "Scary Movie 5" feels more like a fan film than a real sequel. It falls flat on comedic timing, something neither the Wayans Brothers nor David Zucker had to face, whether the jokes worked or not, everything was well placed and fit into the series' overall sense of humour. This fifth installment feels oddly clumsy, as if the director didn't understand the humour of the series and tried to adapt the Zucker screenplay his own way. Unfortunately, the outcome looks an awful lot like an amateur film. //// This movie is more on the R-rated end of a PG-13 than Vol. 3 and 4. As with all of the series, there is frequent sexual talk, with several references to various ways of intercourse. A prolonged female on female lesbian sex scene uses metaphoric images like two tacos being rubbed against each other to depict sex. During the same scene, one woman lying on the bed looks down on her to see the other one going down towards her lap but then several other characters like Ted, a sports team, herself, etc. come back up. A rubber penis is found by a child. A 50 Shades of Grey parody shows several toys. A dog has sex with a hover. A silly clothed sex scene between Charlie Sheen and Lindsey Lohan. Several other gags, but nothing worse than that. This has some more graphic scenes of comic violence, unlike the Zucker movies, who looked entirely fake. During a parody of "Evil Dead", a group of teenagers cuts off several of their own body parts, with dark gore splattering everywhere. One girl cuts her tongue in half (we only see the result), later it is severed as she is lurking through a trap door which is stepped on), another one bites a bird's head off. Their clothes are all bloody, and we see severed limbs. In another scene, a chicken is slaughtered in the background with exeggarated blood gashing. Several other instances of milder slapstick violence, like people getting hit with objects. There is moderate PG-13 language, and the c-word is almost written on a wall, but the person gets stopped before writing it down. There are some drug references and Ecstasy is consumed in one scene. Overall, this pushes the limits of the PG-13. It is okay for older teenagers who are used to outrageous raunchy humour and propably have also seen the first two installments. If they handled them, they can easily handle this one.

EXTREMELY TRASHY

terrible movie and extremely trashy. Ashely Tisdale went from *Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure* to this EXTREMELy trashy movie. In the movie theater, there were literally SIX people in the audience and creepy teenagers and old men laughing at all the explicit and trashy humor. The lesbian scene branched from the R-rated movie Black Swan and portrayed it in an unfathomably distasteful way. I wouldn't let teenagers see it, or adults, it will seriously make you feel mad you wasted a good $9 to see a movie that would have been better with headphones and your eyes closed. If you really want to see scary movie 5 just to see what all the hulabaloo is about, wait to rent it on redbox when you are feeling bored. Save your money and skip this movie. One star movie.
