Best Spider Man ever.

This was amazing film. I was mind blowing, jaw dropping, and just out of this world. I LOVED it. Awesome graphics, awesome action, awesome everything.

Sequel is a step behind the orginal, but still good. Tweens and up!

"Spider-Man 2" is a sequel to the 2002 comic book adaption "Spider-Man". Every once in a while, though it's rare, there is a well-made Hollywood blockbuster that is way better than it tries to be. "Spider-Man" was such a movie. However, it is not so rare that there is a more or less unnecessary sequel, that is not nearly as good as the first volume. This movie is - kind of sort of. The quality difference is minimal, and the movie is still well-made, feauturing great special effects and continuing the stories the first movie began: friendship, love, action and a subplot of revenge. It is one of the movies that make something big out of only a little, simple bit, making the movie superb and entertaining. Still, the first movie was better. It had more of the comic book-like athmosphere, more over-the-top fights, simply more enthusiasm. Also, it feels that Willem Dafoe is missing to this movie. Instead, we got Alfred Molina as Doc Ock, who is memorable, yes, but simply not as great as his preceeder. In conclusion, it is a worthy sequel, that is far better than most, but after all, is a step behind the original. --------------------------------------------------- There are some fight scenes, but overall, the PG-13 is been necessary. The action is bloodless, and neither disturbing nor too brutal. In the most violent scene, Doc Ock uses his tentacles and destroys a room filled with surgeons, throwing them around (implyingly killing all of them). There is no blood in this scene, and it is not too violent. It is at the PG end of a PG-13, and should be okay for tweens and up.

Spidey's back!

Whoever reviewed this movie above was forgetting some pretty intense scenes: violence, scary scenes (even parents could find disturbing) on a horror-based level, and some making out between characters. If you fast-forward the hospital scene with Doc-Ock, it should be OK for the family. Overall, great movie!

Good Movie, Appropriate for Most

While not as lovely as Common Sense Media seems to think it is, Spider Man 2 is definitely a quality film. The action sequence are exciting but tame enough for pre-teens, as there's little blood. The love story is also mild. It's far more sweet than sexy. The villain, Doc Ock, may give nightmare-prone kids bad dreams, so beware of that... otherwise, it's a fun super-hero movie for everyone!

a little old for 7,8,9 year olds

this is a great movie...the only thing i would worry about is the violence.doc ock, the villain has four long robotic arms glued to a spinal thing with attaches to his spine he kills many people with them and his wife is killed with a piece of glass spiderman passes out, harry osborn has a dagger and is about to kill spidey... though it is really touching when spiderman passes out on train after fighting doc ock and stopping the train the people on the train take care of him

Very nice, just like the first

Like the first film, Spider-Man 2 is dazzling, actionative and emotional. This installment is slightly less intense than the first, but it is heavier in emotionality, and while there are fewer messages, Doc Oc does prove to be a good role model in the end when he overcomes the tentacles' psychological grip on him. But there is also a scene when Harry gets drunk and almost gets into a fight with Peter, so keep an eye on that. But this is still fantastic and works well with the first film, so get your kids together and watch it!

Spiderman 2 Review

Sequels usually don't get much better or smarter, but this action-drama-romance-comedy-packed Spiderman 2, miraculously improve over the webslinger's hugely popular fist screen adventure in every imaginable department.

violent, more than the other?

This one in my belief was more scary than the other one they made. I thought that it might be slightly scarier, but more violent than i would think

Really good!

There is honestly nothing to worry about except for two scenes - 1) the hospital scene, where Doc Oct kills everyone in the hospital, including his own wife (no blood shown, though) and 2) the glass-shattering scene, where Doc's wife is hit in the eye with glass (again, nothing is shown). Other than those, this is really a great movie for anyone 10 and up. Rated PG for some violence and brief mild language. Peter Parker is a good role model, too.

Even better than the first.

My rating: PG [borderline with PG-13] for sequences of action violence and some brief alcohol use.
