My daughter fell in love with this movie 2 years ago, when she was age 6. She cried once when we didn't have time to finish the ending (after she had already seen it before), because she "love(s) it so much". This is the kind of movie that shows how life isn't all roses, but in a very gentle and beautiful way, much like Old Yeller. It's simple, yet beautiful, with very few words, and more "neighs". If you want your child to be compassionate to animals, understand the idea of freedom, and appreciate the wonder of nature, then this is the family film for you!
