I'd like to say that this is the best movie I've ever seen. The acting is amazing. The special effects are great. There is lots of action. This movie is also really funny. Nothing about this movie is cheesy. The fact that there are heroes in this movie saving the world means that there are positive role models and positive messages. Now for the content review: Violence: This movie has tons of violence. There is blood and small knives going into peoples necks; this will definitely be scary to many kids. At one point, a villain stabs a main character through the chest; blood is seen on the blade and coming out of his mouth. He eventually dies because of it. At one point, a man shoots an arrow at two people, and we see the arrow hit those people. At one point, the main villain takes someone's eye out by using a device with a spinning blade; we see no blood, nor do we see his eye, but we see the device while it's taking his eye out. Inappropriate content: At one point, Bruce Banner is seen without clothes on, but his private parts aren't shown, and he isn't wearing clothes because he had just been the Hulk. Language: The words "son of a b****," "oh my G**," "h*ll," "*ss," "b*st*rd" and "d*mn" are used. Consumerism: This movie is based off of the comics of the same name. It also has many superheroes from different superhero movies. Drinking, drugs, and smoking: A main character is shown making an alcoholic beverage for himself; he asks someone else if he wants some, but he says that he doesn't want any. People are shown drinking alcohol. There is a brief reference to "weed". I didn't even notice it at first, though; I had to look up the line online to know when the word "weed" was used. Overall, The Avengers is a great movie, but it may scare some kids.
