Strong start, intriguing movie

This movie shows you don't always have to be faithful to the source material but you can keep it interesting! The action is intense, but bloodless, and Matt Damon is vulnerable and likable as the lead role. The audience is learning who Bourne is as the story goes along, so that's cool, too. Very excellent modern spy film!

The first chapter of a great series

A very fun movie. Also, Matt Damon is actually well suited for the main role. Too bad he's not going to be in the new Bourne movie... All the same, this is a very good first chapter of a great series of thriller movies. Bottom Line: Two Thumbs Up

Very Good!

Violent! Good, but violent! For example, one of the more violent scenes shows Bourne fight with a guy, brief shots of blood, often splattering on the floor, the guy gets stabbed in the hand with a pen, and later, cornered inevitably, throws himself out the window. Bourne takes his girl downstairs, where they see a woman who's been shot in the head. And finally, as they exit the building, there's a brief shot of the dead guy's head splattered on the ground. I'm only saying this to warn parents who want to let their kids watch! Otherwise, REALLY good!
