Bale's final Batman is as gritty and dark as the first two.

The Dark Knight Rises

This is one of my favorite movies ever made. It has intensely-epic scenes and fighting that surpass even the highest expectations. When I first saw it in theater, I was blown away. First of all, Christian Bale comes back to be the ever-present Batman that is always cool. Then, you add an unstable yet good-moraled cat burglar, an awesome butler, a nice businesswoman, an aging yet great commissioner, and a young police officer into to mix, all played by wonderful actors. And let's not forget Bane. One of the creepiest, most evil and best bad guys ever. Definitely on par with the Joker from the Dark Knight. Mix all of this with the epic plot, and you get a masterpiece. As for age, I think this movie is fine for kids 12 and up. It has dark scenes of struggle, but not like horror. I will admit there is intense action and weapons/explosions (which I adore, by the way), so if that's not your thing you might have a problem. Death includes some random bodies, two neck-snappings (not graphic) and guns. A little kissing and suggestive scene where Wayne and the businesswoman are under the covers with bare shoulders. Does not show anything else though. All in all, a great movie!

A good end to a great trilogy

A great film not as intense as the dark knight though has a intense bank robbery scene and the criminals running the city could be a little violent but bane is awesome and so is Thalia ghoul

I think the director was trying to be a show off when he had bane as the villain lol

if you saw the first two movies and want to check this one out, you should know what to expect, you should easily expect nonstop action and a badass villain lol

GREAT ENDING TO THE TRILOGY

this was a great way to end nolans batman trilogy. it had great acting and a good story that wrapped up the 3 movies. i really liked how it showed how the events of the dark knight affected bruce wayne and jim gordon. christian bale as batman was great and so was tom hardy as bane. this movie does have lots of violence and some swearing. most of the violence is hand to hand combat although there is still lots of explosions. the movie is long though about 2hrs and 45mins but at no point did i say "whens this gonna end" i loved it all the way and it had a great ending 9/10.

The Dark Knight Rises Review

This is not the sort of movie you can just leave behind in the theater. And like any true finale to a trilogy, the picture doesn't work nearly as well if you haven't seen the previous two installments: It's not designed to stand alone, and it pays off all that has come before with an exuberant, thrilling high.

Not worse than the dark knight. But I love Bane

The film contains moderate violence, sustained threat and implied sex. Violence: Bane forces people to stand on ice, soon the ice cracks and they are frozen to death. A character is shot. A few characters fall off a plane. Sex: Its implied that a woman and a man had sex. Brief Nudity is shown.

The dark knight rises review

Its a very good ending to the dark knight trilogy. There is a lot of violence, snapping necks, hand to hand combat, and gun fights. Otherwise it has a great storyline and has great characters.

Great Movie

The Dark Knight Rises is a great movie --- but very dark. Know your kid before they see this movie. It is not as dark and intense or as good as The Dark Knight, but it is still excellent. I think it is off for 7 and under, not for kids 8-10 without a parent or guardian, iffy for 11, ok for 12+.

Amazing.

Im speechless after watching such a rievting ambitious piece of cinema in it's most excellent form. The dark knight rises hpye of beating it's predecessor couldn't possibly be done. But Bale mangage to still make it entertaining enough for both fans and casual viewers alike. However this masterpiece is not for kids under the age of at least 10, there is shooting (A long gunfight in one scene.), a plane falls out of the air with people on board, punching, kicking, stabbing, and the bad guy bane could be to scary for some younger kids. Perhaps the most violent scene is which Batmans spine is protroding from his back (offscreen) and is forced back into his body byy a hard punch (kinda on screen). But despite violence and a dark undertone, this is still a clever, and well done super sized big screen movie that is well made, and brings the batman trilogy to a great close. Its been one heck of a ride Wayne.

Poignant finale to batman is gritty and violent.

Parents, your kids or teens will be begging at your feet to see the epic finale to the long-running film series, but this last installment is too mature for even your older teens. Violence is constant, with dashes of sex and language. The violent content includes necks breaking, stabbings, bloody fights, gruesome images, bombings, fireballs, massive explosions, torture, hostages, execution, death by exile, stealing, shootings, building collapses, a plane crash, an image of dead teen boy's body washed up outside a sewer grate, and bane is a frightening terrorist/murderer. Sex is limited to flirting and kissing, and one mild sex scene. There also scantily clad women shown. Language is infrequent, but is strong. It includes two or three uses of "b-tch" and "f-ggot", and one unforgettable use of f--k. Rated PG-13 For Intense Violent Material Throughout, Some Sexuality, And Brief Strong Language, and that kids under 15 should talk to a parent or let the parent watch the movie, then decide if it's okay.
