More like the worst hour.

This movie is a thriller, thrillers are not meant for young children. Also, the movie has a horrible plot and a horrible ending. Not worth your time, and not meant for your kids time.

The darkest hour.And 21 minuites

The darkest hour has a brillent idea for a sci-fi movie. The aliens are invisable and disentergrate you on touch. The acting is rather good and despite a low budget, the specail effects are good.some deaths are a bit upsetting(such as anne's) as you do end up caring about the cast.Sean becomes a good role model and hero despite his best freind's death.Anne becomes braver.Natalie tries hard to protect her freind's.Ben learns to trust people and becomes more brave.Even Skyler saves his freinds. Each character is a good role model. Some drinking is seen and some swearing but small kid's would be okay to see this

You should read this a teens review

I am 15 and I tink kids under the age of 14 should not be allowed to watch this. There is a lot of language and some terms that well mean "IT," but not a lot of those,

More intense than Insidious, but not as scary.

There is no blood in this movie, but there is violence. All of the violence is people and one dog exploding into ashes (viewers can see the ashes.) The alien faces are kinda scary, but those faces really don't come until the end. The swears I remember are one f word in a lot of s words, but please common sense about the other swears. There is a lot of consumerism, like McDonalds which is written in Russian. The is a lot more consumerism, but I can't think of it. There is one kiss in the movie, but no sex or any nudity in the movie. There isn't any kissing other then what I announced. People work hard to save each other's friends. There is drinking in the beginning of the movie.

Terribly dull,don't watch it.

OK so I went to see this thinking that it was a worthy hour and half of my time to spend.Seeing as the trailer looked great and the reviews were promising. But halfway out I almost slept,I had to rely on 8 cans of soda pop to keep awake(I swear I would rather watch Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas from this director.)

The Darkest Hour

This was actually really good. It was pretty scary in parts, though. The only real problem was the violence: people disintegrating and some shooting. This was very underrated.

Good role models

This was one of the beat movies I've seen in a while. Yes, the people do get terminated, but there is nothing gory. This might scare little kids, but it isn't *scary*, just a little intense. This film teaches an important lesson of not being selfish to save yourself, and shows positive role models. Some cussing, but it could be *A LOT* worse.

Oscar-worthy!

one of the best films of all time. has mildy "grisly" alien kills, with humans bursting into ashes. otherwise, explosions, gunfights, destruction, and uber-good special effects make this film epic!

Not Bad

This movie wasnt that bad. It has no gore which is great for me! Some action, theres drinking in bar at the begining of the movie and there is cussing. However, there are some sad parts, but this was an entertaining movie.

The title is actually better than the movie

Incredibly boring. Should be called The Dullest Hour. The acting was terrible, and the movie fails to thrill or scare at all. Also, the CGI is even worse than Ghost Rider's. Bottom Line: Thumbs way down

Definetly should be rated R!!!! So much violence!

Way to much violence for a teen! This movie, even though their is minimal blood, has plenty of killing and a very high body count. Mainly people die by getting burned to ash! It is very graphic! plus a dog dies which may be to disturbing to younger viewers...movie wasnt even that good..... parents should see by themselves.

Good and bad.

This movie is actually not that bad, but there is a lot of language and two of the main characters are lesbians. Also there are scary demon-like creatures.

Overall good alien movie for teens, intense but no violence

Positive Messages/Role Models: Most of the four main characters are brave, stick together, and fight to escape. One main character starts out as a bad role model (carefree, rude) but later develops into a good role model who watches out for his friends and solves puzzles to escape the aliens. Violence: Many, many people die (including two main characters and two supporting characters) but there is not a single drop of blood or gore throughout the whole film. Instead, when killed by the aliens, people just turn to dust. There is a feeling of dread though out the whole movie, but no jump-out-and-scare-you moments. Sex: In one brief scene people at a nightclub flirt and a couple is seen making out briefly. A couple sexual jokes in the beginning that will go over kid's heads (example: "Nice shirt" "Yeah, your mom left it in my room last night") In once scene a female character is changing her shirt and is shown in a bra, and a male character sees, though the scene doesn't seem really sexual at all. Two characters almost kiss, but are interrupted by another saying "eww". I wish they did kiss though, it would've been really sweet :) Language: Sh*t is used throughout (but mostly only by one character) a few uses of b*tch and a*s and ne use of p*ick Drinking, drugs, etc.: People who are of age drink at a nightclub in the beginning but no one appears drunk and by the end of the movie, so much has happened that the drinking scene seems minor. Hope this helped, I thought it was overall a great film (despite a few moments of bad CGI) Enjoy the film!
