Disney Karaoke Series: Phineas & Ferb

Playful sing-along tunes from the TV show; safe family fun.

What parents need to know

Positive messages

Nothing necessarily good or bad, just fun songs about summer, friends, and little brothers.

Positive role models

You have to admire Phineas & Ferb for their gumption and creativity, and poor Candace is nothing if not persistent. Role Models? Could be worse, right?

Violence & scariness

"He's a Bully" is a song about a bully:  "He's big, he's dumb...but he'll beat on your head like a big bass drum."

Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that this is a compilation of popular songs from Disney's hit TV show Phineas & Ferb, which is about a couple of brainiac brothers who make summer a little mischievous. If your kids like the show, then they'll enjoy having a reason to sing along to their own beat. These are mostly fun songs about summer, friends, and little brothers. "He's a Bully" is about a bully:  "He's big, he's dumb...but he'll beat on your head like a big bass drum."

What's the story?

From the popular Disney Karaoke Series comes PHINEAS AND FERB. With 8 fan-favorite tracks from The Disney Channel's hit television show, Phineas & Ferb, kids can now sing along with the loveable summer misfits and their posse. "Gitchee Gitchee Goo," "S.I.M.P. (Squirrels in My Pants)," and Candace's heartfelt "Little Brothers" are inlcuded on the album, with both instrumental and vocal versions.

Is it any good?

The show is popular and the music is a hit with kids and parents, so is it any wonder that these karaoke versions of the songs also work? There are no surprises here. Disney Karaoke Series: Phineas & Ferb uses original soundtrack vocals, so fans won't be disappointed with cheesy, amateurish voices that are often found on karaoke albums. If you're looking for a fun way to keep your kids busy on a rainy day, this is a great activity for the whole family.

Families can talk about...

  • Families can talk about cross-promotion. When it comes to products from your favorite television shows and movies, do you automatically want to buy them when you see them? Why? What is a soundtrack? Do you like having the music and songs from your favorite shows?

  • Phineas & Ferb are likeable characters from a fictional television show. What does fictional mean? Does watching the show or listening to the music make you want to be like these characters? Is that good or bad? Are all characters on TV always good? Give examples.

Perfect 6th Birthday!

Jamie loves to sing, and she loves Phineas and Ferb! This was the PERFECT birthday present for her on her recent birthday. Boys, though, are not quite the same. While it is fun to watch lil girls try and sing and read, boys are hating this.
