Timberlake soundalike loves to talk about sex.

What parents need to know

Positive messages

Puts a lot of emphasis on a woman's looks and enhanced body parts.

"Hold your guns, if they is hella hating."

Sexual content is strong and there is some reference to sex -- direct or not -- in almost every song.

Not applicable

A bunch of brands are mentioned: Jordans, Ray-Ban, Dickie, Gucci, Tivo, Nike, Nikon, Lamborghini, McDonald's.

Drinking, drugs, & smoking

"Hold your drinks up, like you was celebrating."

Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that although this CD has mostly innocent overtones about love, there's also a bit of more explicit sexual content such as talking about women's body types and parts ("I'm in love with double D cups") and getting with someone.

What's the story?

Chris Brown, all of 18 years old, has matured since his last album -- as he shows on EXCLUSIVE, singing mostly about his fondness and appreciation of the ladies. Romance abounds on the love-infused "With You" ("With every kiss and every hug/You make me fall in love/And now I know I can't be the only one"), for example. He also gets help from a who's who of the music world (Kanye West, Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am, OutKast's Big Boi, and T-Pain).

Is it any good?

Brown's sophomore effort lives up to the hype he's generated since the release of his first CD more than two years ago. But it's more than just hype -- it's a collection of 16 solid R&B songs and rhythmic dance tracks that just might melt the hearts of teenage girls everywhere.

Families can talk about...

  • Families can talk about how teen artists mature. Has Chris Brown's music changed much from when he was 16 and released his first album? Does age come into play when writing and singing songs? Should an 18-year-old be singing about different things than a 30-year-old?

Teen, 14 years old Written byharleynakoa14 April 9, 2008

Good, but for older kids...

I love this Album, but it does say the D word a couple times, like in the song picture perfect, and other songs. Also it does have alot of sexual content so i think that kids over 10 should listen to this Album.
