Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that "Hall of Fame" is a super-clean and positive track about working hard to reach your dreams. It lacks explicit content of any kind, with no profanity, sex, violence, substance use, or consumerism. It's a terrific choice for tweens, teens, and adults alike, though parents should note that that there are some religious references ("You could talk to God ... you could walk straight through hell").

What's the story?

Irish rockers The Script go for their goals on "HALL OF FAME," the first single from their third full-length album, #3. The group gets an assist on the track from will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. It's the second formal partnership for will.i.am and The Script frontman Danny O'Donaghue: the two serve together as judges on the UK version of the TV show, The Voice.

Is it any good?

On this track, lead singer O'Donaghue's vocals are reminiscent of another musical reality show participant: Kris Allen, the Season 8 winner of American IdolBoth performers are solid if not spectacular performers who know how to record a radio-friendly, chart-climbing song.

Families can talk about...

  • Families can talk about the main theme of this song -- that achieving dreams is as much about hard work as anything else. Do you agree with this idea?

  • What's your proudest accomplishment in life so far, and how did you accomplish it?

  • Describe a goal you currently have, and your plan for achieving it.

Amazing & entertaining & encouraging great technique

The script band is basically saying you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it or if you try harder everyday . The script is an amazing band and plus it gets people onto their feet and dance and it gets people to open up there problems to other people .
