What's the story?
Coco Jones rose to Disney fame after she won Radio Disney's Next Big Thing (NBT) contest and then starred in the TV movie, Let It Shine. "HOLLA AT THE DJ" is her first single as a Hollywood Records artist, and keeps a catchy, cool dance-club beat. The video features Jones dancing Beyonce-style in black and white.
Is it any good?
Coco Jones has some powerhouse vocals that will knock your socks off and a smile that can light up the dance floor better than a disco ball. "Holla at the DJ" is an engaging dance track that mixes techno beats and smooth, synth-pop, giving it a fresh sound. The song is all about dancing and contains no references to the club scene, so it's fine for kids.
Talk to your kids about ...

What would be the best thing about being a famous teen? What would be some of the drawbacks?
Jones got her big break after winning a contest. Do you think these shows find real talent? Do you think these stars would otherwise make it as professional singers without the help of a contest?
