Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that "International Love" is about hooking up with different women all over the world. While the lyrics aren't as graphic as many hip-hop or R&B tracks, there are a few fairly steamy lyrics about random sexual encounters ("I don’t play football but I’ve touched down everywhere / I don’t play baseball but I’ve hit a homerun everywhere") and women's bodies ( talk of "boobies" and booties"), making it best for older kids.

What's the story?

Rap and R&B collide once again in "INTERNATIONAL LOVE," the single pairing Latin rapper Pitbull with R&B singer Chris Brown. In this track from Pitbull's sixth album, Planet Pit, the two stars set out to take the world by storm -- and rack up plenty of female conquests along the way.

Is it any good?

QUALITY

Pitbull's driving rap delivery and Chris Brown's smooth R&B vocals combine to good effect in this song. While the synth-beat backing them is nothing new, the strong talents displayed by both artists will surely be enough to push this song into heavy club rotation.

Families can talk about...

  • Families can talk about the dangers involved in getting intimate with a lot of people, especially ones you don't know.

  • What are some of the consequences of hooking up with strangers?

  • Why do so many hip-hop songs celebrate random hookups? Do you see this theme in other genres as well?
