Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that "Just Give Me a Reason" is an overall clean love song, with very little in the way of questionable lyrics. Aside from one quick reference to drinking and a very muted chorus line about sleeping in the same bed, the track is free of explicit content, making it a good choice for tweens and teens.

What's the story?

Two of the biggest names on the contemporary pop scene -- Pink and Nate Ruess, lead singer of the band fun. -- team up in "GIVE ME A REASON," the third single from The Truth About Love, Pink's sixth full-length record. Ruess started out co-writing the track with Pink but eventually signed on to sing with her as well. The optimistic song is about working through a difficult period in a relationship.

Is it any good?

It's hard to go wrong when you combine two exceptionally strong vocalists like Pink and Ruess. Their partnership is made all the more interesting by the mix in tones, with Pink's deeper vocals lending a catchy contrast between Ruess's higher pitch.

Amazing P!nk song

This is probably my favorite P!nk song. The music and vocals are beautiful and strong, and it really captures the emotion of the dramatic love story. There's nothing really inappropriate in it besides one line ("You used to lie so close to me ... There's nothing more than empty sheets between our love.") And there is a reference to drinking, but that's about it.

Clean catchy tune. :)

I really like this song, like commonsense said, it has a sweet love tune. Sex: You used to lie so close to me/there's nothing more than empty sheets between our love. Positive role models: They try to work this out even it's getting tough for them. Positive messages: Getting through a relationship that's getting tough.
