What's the story?

Elizabeth Mitchell is quickly becoming a prominent voice in children's music. In LITTLE SEED, she does her interpretations of 13 classics by the late American folk singer Woody Guthrie, from "This Land is Your Land" to "Who's My Pretty Baby."

Is it any good?

Mitchell's sweet, endearing vocals and Guthrie's great lyrics reflect a young kid's perspective and capture the parent-child relationship. The melodies and phrases that Mitchell glides over and through make this album a pleasure to listen to. From "Grassy Grass Grass" to "One Day Old," the songs on Little Seed perfectly paint the wonder and sweetness of children, with fuss-free folk that's appealing to little kids and their parents.
