What parents need to know

Parents need to know that there's nothing new on this soundtrack, just a large (26-track) collection of the first season's fun-tastic pop-rock songs and sarcasm that help make the TV show such a hit for kids and parents. There's a song called "Squirrels in My Pants," but don't worry; it's perfectly innocent. Just like Phineas and Ferb, right?

What's the story?

From the Disney Channel TV series Phineas and Ferb comes a 26-track-packed soundtrack, PHINEAS AND FERB: SONGS FROM THE HIT DISNEY TV SERIES. The soundtrack includes favorites from the first season, including the show's theme song, "Today is Gonna Be a Great Day" by Bowling for Soup, "Gitchee Gitchee Goo," "Busted," and "Squirrels in My Pants," just to name a few. Fans will love having all their favorite Phineas and Ferb characters rocking, frollicking, and Ferb-in' out on this CD.

Is it any good?

If you like the show Phineas and Ferb, you'll love the soundtrack. The show's clever, catchy, over-the-top musical numbers are a large part of the show's success, and they're all here in one ferb-ulous compilation. Although many of the newest songs from the Disney series aren't included, there are 26 reasons to rock out with Phineas and the Ferb-tones, sassy Candace, Perry the Platypus, and even Love Handel, not to mention the rest of the clan.

Talk to your kids about ...

  • Families can talk about the main characters, who often get themselves into predicaments. Young kids can be impressionable when it comes to favorite TV shows and characters. Ask kids if it's ever safe to imitate the actions of their favorite characters.

  • Talk to kids about soundtracks. What is the purpose of a soundtrack? Does listening to music from the show make you want to watch more Phineas and Ferb?
