Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that "So Good" is an overall cute, clean single that finds a guy wooing a girl he likes by promising to show her the world. Though the track features a couple lines about "drinking a German beer with a Cuban cigar" and drinking wine, it lacks other mature content, making it a generally good choice for younger rap and hip-hop fans.

What's the story?

In the single "SO GOOD" from his album Strange Clouds, hip-hop star B.o.B teams up with One Republic lead singer Ryan Tedder to take a special girl on a lyrical tour of the world. The track travels from Mexico to Norway, with lots of fun cultural references to places like the Egyptian pyramids and Tower of Pisa.

Is it any good?

B.o.B's upbeat delivery makes his songs especially fun, and this track is no exception. Layered with a chorus of "la-la-las" sung in part by Ryan Tedder, the song stands to become a fixture at parties.

Families can talk about...

  • Families can talk about B.o.B's return to cleaner music with this single, following his previous, more explicit collaboration, "Strange Clouds," with notoriously raunchy rapper Lil' Wayne.

  • Why might B.o.B have decided to return to his cleaner roots with this tune?

  • Does hip-hop need to be raunchy to have street cred? Why or why not?

Not For Kids for a Video that has sex. Not on the 3DS,

Sex in a Music Video on the Nintendo 3DS back in 2012. I can't believe this happened on Nintendo Video on the 3DS.

Great song, little iffy, but very tame!

Great song. I've been a fan of Bob for a while. Just let your kids know it's not okay to drink underage.

So Bad

I couldn't come up with a very creative title. Still somehow managed to be more creative than B.o.B.
