Clean and Folksy

Phillip Phillips new album is clean, well composed and generally a very good choice. There's a handful of vague sexual references, but nothing that young teens won't be able to process. Phillips' style is less folksy than Mumford and Sons and less country than Avett Brothers, but overall his sound is similar to both bands. There's no banjo, which is probably a relief to some of you! In general Phillips himself is a good role model and his songs convey messages about loyalty and love.
