Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that "Walking on Air" is the third single from Katy Perry's album Prism. This upbeat, '90s-influenced dance track celebrates the uplifting power of love. Though the song skips iffy language or references to drugs or alcohol, the sexy lyrics make it best for older tweens and up.
What's the story?
Katy Perry's third single from her album Prism, WALKING ON AIR, is a '90s-style dance track about the transcendent power of love. The track is the second single from the album produced by Swedish songwriter Klas Ahlund.
Is it any good?
Though it's nice to see Perry continuing to explore new styles on Prism, "Walking on Air" falls a bit flat. The vocals are breathy and miss her signature power, and the lyrics are pretty laughable when you get beyond the crazy-repetitive "I'm walking on air" with gems like "Even heaven is jealous of our love / Yes, we make angels cry." This single will be perfect for the club but is probably one you can leave off your iPod.
