"We Run the Night" (CD Single)
What parents need to know
Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that while "We Run the Night" doesn't contain much in the way of mature content (beyond one use of "f--k" in the explicit version), it celebrates and promotes partying: "Party all night, sleep all day, then do it again." It's a less-than-ideal message for tweens and teens learning about responsibility.
What's the story?
"WE RUN THE NIGHT" is the debut single from Australian DJ-turned-recording artist Havana Brown, with an assist from rapper Pitbull. The dance-infused track is about sleeping all day, partying all night.
Is it any good?
This tune is undeniably danceable, though the high-pitched, alarm-like hook might irritate some ears. The addition of Pitbull's raw rap style lends a welcome, distinctive edge to the track.
