Jim Steyer, Founder and CEO of Common Sense, Issues Statement After Facebook Hearing on Kids and Mental Health
Despite overwhelming evidence that shows Facebook intentionally withheld information and mislead the public about what they knew about the mental health impact Instagram is having on teens, Antigone Davis' testimony only continues their efforts to evade accountability at every turn. We thank U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal, Marsha Blackburn, Ed Markey, and the other committee members seeking to hold Facebook to account for their egregious and deceptive actions. Families and teens deserve better. Now it's time for Mark Zuckerberg and Adam Moserri to answer to Congress and the American public.
