CSM nailed this review of Dual Survival, a particularly intriguing show following two outdoor experts in risky places, and it shows their journey through the wilderness.
Parents need to know that there is some language, such as "piss," "damn," "ass," and other mashed-up but all PG rated insults. Stronger words are bleeped. As for violence, the hikers are shown capturing/killing fish and other pray, and occasional references to guns and violence when in a dangerous territory (e.g. the border of Mexico).
It's filled with positive role models. In order to survive where the characters go, really, they have to be brave, courageous, tough, and not a pain in the neck.
Overall, this interesting, fun, positive and not-too-iffy show should be fine for kids ages nine and up. To see more excellent reviews, click on my username (Lamed 33).
