Celebrities Playing Games in a Giant Bed? WHY????
What's the Story?
FAMILY GAME FIGHT pits two teams of four against one another as they battle to win $100,000 and avoid pies to the face. Hosts and married couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard not only emcee the festivities but participate in every round, leading one of the families to victory and the other to bitter, pie-faced defeat.
Is It Any Good?
Someone has vastly overestimated the charisma of Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard. Family Game Night is less of a game show and more of a showcase for the real-life couple, who participate as well as host. So the winners are determined not by contestants' skills, but by how well their hosts perform at a particular challenge. There are times when Bell and Shepard play the games, mug for the camera, and run through some dinner party-type banter, while the contestants just have to sit back and just guess how well they'll do.
