King of the Hill

King of the Hill does raise a few eyebrows, some characters have varied personalities and some episodes can have their good moments. Not everyone will agree with King of the Hill, it is not everyone's type of comedy.

A good show, but NOT for very young kids.

It's a very good show! But does consist of violence and threats such as "I'm gonna kick you a-". The characters all drink beer, and one actually smokes and drinks at the same time. It takes place in Arlen, Texas and has a great storyline. But it's sad to see that this went off the air just to replace that stupid, unfunny "Cleveland show"

Ok for the whole family

This is a nice show, it can be a great show for the family without some of the characters acting gay, I like Dale especially, he is funny.

Good, funny show

There really isn't that much ault stuff in this show. There is minor cussing sometimes but not alot and some sexual jokes.Bobby, Connie and Joseph are all becoming teenagers. They show them all going through puberty and Bobby and Connie have their first kiss together and eventually date. Joseph and his girlfrien talk about "going all the way" but they break up because Joseph thinks they are too young. The men drink alot and Dale smokes all the time.In one episode Bobby and Joseph smoke cigarettes together. All in all, King of the hill is a good show.

why couldn`t more cartoon series be more like king of the hill?

hank hill is a good role model, the setting and comedy are both fairly original and kinda realistic, and this was made from the same producer who made beavis and butthead

KING OF THE HILL: Adult Swim's family cartoon

KING OF THE HILL has the raunchy, the risque, the potty mouth, and the drug use to make for a common Adult Swim title--but it feels strange saying that it's arguably its most appropriate show. Instead of the profanity, violence, or sexuality levels of fellow shows like BLACK DYNAMITE or ATHF, KING OF THE HILL focuses more on the messages of family dysfunction, reliability, help, leadership, etc. And no matter how many times we see characters breathe smoke or ingest alcohol, KOTH is a rather family-fitting Adult Swim show. It seems almost like a Nickelodeon cartoon for the channel.

A great show, but not for everyone!

King of the Hill is mainly shown on Adult Swim, just that fact alone may scare parents away, although compared to, say, Family Guy, it's not bad at all. It has the occasional innuendo, and of course the bursting with hormones teenager who is pretty much the source of some of it although some episodes are much worse. Some involve the main character being accused of renting dirty videos, and he must watch them to prove that he did not rent them. Occasional episodes show a naked person, either covered up for a split second. Some episodes involve a murder of someone, with the crime being pointed on Hank. I believe there was a frame of a person in a dumpster, shotgun laying next to her. In terms of drugs, there have been some highly suggestive episodes where the main character, Hank Hill, accidentally buys narcotics and is put on trial for them. Drug slangs are occasionally applied as well, things like being offered herb tea and responding that he didn't want to get hopped up on "dope". Hank and his friends frequently drink beer, one of his friends a smoking addict who constantly smokes. There is also an episode where the entire family gets addicted to cigarettes. Hank once smoked marijuana on accident, thinking it was an average cigarette. Language is probably the worst part of this show. Hank frequently tells his friends that he will "kick their ***", although aside from that, it's rarely used, aside from the occasional "B****" that showed up probably once. Other then that, language isn't used TOO much. Good role models? Hank is an intelligent man with a nice family and house, but he has an anger problem. Bobby is a nice, funny kid, possibly okay to imitate, Peggy is occasionally up-tight and arrogant, although smart and friendly. His friends are smokers and clinically depressed people, one being just a mumbler which is fine although he gets into lots of relationship for just the, you know and then runs off. The chain smoker's wife always cheats on him, so not the best role models. This show is great, although your kid may not enjoy it as much because it's not chock full of jokes and deals more with adult problems. It's okay for mature kids (probably around 13? If a bit more mature, that's for you to decide - I don't know, personally.)

Old yet Funny. It is Pretty good. Not all tastes.

Parents need to know that the jokes in this long-running favorite often zip past so quickly that kids won't get the deeper statements that lie therein. Life in Texas can be chaotic, and Dale could very well be the "do not try this at home" poster boy. Beer is consumed in every episode, bad habits are obliged, and ignorance and mockery are the norm, but somehow, everyone gets along in the end.

Best animated show ever!

This is my favorite animated show of all time. It's humor, while raunchy, is very realistic and nostalgic, and there is some very clever dialogue. It does have some language, drinking, and smoking, but there are positive messages on occasion, like about growing up and being responsible parents. Unfortunately, I am still not old enough to see Family Guy, and I'll bet that will become my favorite animated show once I start watching it. But as of right now, King of the Hill is definitely my favorite. It may be mature and hard to understand for young kids, but those old enough to "get" it will have a great time. Five stars!

Cool show

On New Years Eve I stayed up late and saw this show on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim and it was funny! There was nothing inappropriate about this show I don't even know why it's rated PG or even on Adult Swim.

Lost in MySpace...

The episode ''Lost in MySpace'' is rated TV-14-DLV. TV-14: Mature material suitable for ages 13, 14, and up. D: Strong flirtatious dialogue. L: Strong language. V: Intense violence. That was seen on the top left one time I saw it on Adult Swim. But on VegasTV, it's rated TV-PG-LV.
