A Lot or a Little?
What you will—and won't—find in this TV show.
The show intends to entertain rather than to educate.
A constant power struggle exists between Mike and his fellow animals, but the antics are fun and not ill-meaning. Even so, his friends sometimes cause him just as much trouble as the outsiders do, and at other times they become his most reliable allies. Mike is a crafty problem solver and never gives up on a challenge.
Positive Role Models
Mike has two purposes in life: protect his home from trouble and win the heart of his love. On both counts his success is varied, but he remains resolute and always finds creative ways to win the day.
Violence & Scariness
Some comical mishaps -- falls, knocks to the head, etc. -- but it's all played for laughs.

Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Mighty Mike follows the efforts of a high-minded pug who must defend his home from critter invaders and mischief all while he attempts to impress his beautiful neighbor dog. The animals' interactions play out without dialogue, which puts all the emphasis on the animals' actions and expressions and makes it very easy for younger viewers to follow. Expect some mishaps that are meant to be funny, not harmful, and some mild gross-out humor in this family friendly series.
Is It Any Good?
These amusing animal characters will have viewers in stitches, and CGI makes their silliness all the more hilarious. From Mike's exasperated looks to Iris's dismissive and elusive demeanor, it's easy to know what the characters are thinking and feeling from the detail of their expressions and motions. From meddlesome neighborhood raccoons to Mike's acrobatic turtle housemates, this menagerie is a constant source of entertainment.
It's hard to find TV shows that cater to different age groups equally and steer clear of the iffy stuff, but Mighty Mike does just that. For little kids, the critters' comical antics will be enough. Older viewers who can fill in the blanks the lack of dialogue leaves will find even more to amuse them. And of course, it's always fun to dabble in the minutiae of animal psychology, which is on full display here.
