Despite it being the reality genre, there is a fine sense of authenticity that comes through in this show. The sense of community in what rounds out the people in Peckham's Finest; from the "candid" moments, to even the camera crew chatting to the cast in some scenes. Like most reality shows, there are some pacing issues and mundane moments from time to time. But overall, this show is easy to watch. It's a bonus if one is familiar with the neighborhood already, and if not, it's still entertaining since each cast member has their own unique story that ties into the overall community.
