What's the Story?
PIM & PAM is an animated series featuring Pim and Pam, a brother and sister duo who use a little magic to play a memory-card game. Each brief episode features the kids playing the game before bedtime, during which they attempt to choose and correctly match partial images from a set of cards that are faced down on a table. Throughout it all viewers get to play along and even laugh at some of the mismatched pictures. After the game Pim and Pam's magical mother sends them to bed.
Is It Any Good?
The simple, interactive series is designed to help stimulate young children's cognitive functions, including memory and image recognition. It uses pictures that young viewers will recognize and shows them where they're laid out at the beginning of each game to encourage their participation.
It's been translated into multiple languages and has universal appeal. However, the overall show also demonstrates how you can make mistakes, and sometimes lose, while still having fun playing. It's not the most sophisticated of shows but one that kids can learn a lot from.
