Fans of Pinkalicious (or just general fans of Valentine's Day) will love this sweet special that's perfect for preschoolers. It's a visual treat, with lots of pink and red Valentine-y goodness. The Cupid character has a fun conceit: that he just wants to enjoy the simple pleasures of ice cream, swings, and homework like regular kids. The songs are great, and emphasize the theme of how gratitude can help cheer you up if you're feeling grumpy. At the end of the episode there's a special 2021 postscript video showing real kids making socially-distanced chalk driveway decorations for their friends' Valentines, which may help some kids who are bummed about missing Valentine's celebrations with friends during the pandemic.

It may be tempting for some parents to write off a show so focused on pink and girly things, but there's actually quite a lot of substance to Pinkalicious's Valentine's special (and boys wearing pink Cupid dresses and being lovey dovey throughout the episode offer a great counter-stereotype). Grown-ups can feel good about their kids celebrating Valentine's Day with Pinkalicious and her crew.
