You should suggest the show to your elementary-aged kids, simply for the cultural experience. After all, this was the first incarnation of a long-running show whose eponymous franchise is absolutely phenomenal! Plus, despite having a predictable formula, it has said element in a good way (i. e.: it’s great to make fun of, and actually unique). In addition to that, it’s upbeat, funny, and shows kids how to look cool! And like in any of the incarnations (except ones without the character’s appearance, A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, and Scooby-Doo, Mystery, Inc.), Fred is a great role model for boys, sending a message about reporting crimes.
