Teens

Weeds is a great show for adults. Teens can relate to the charecters. The show goes in deep story lines. The story lines are very complicated all thought they deal with drugs. I think the Weeds tells everyone how bad drugs are even though the people in the show smoke and sell it they show what happons when you do it there are a lot of negative things. And that will make people not want to do drugs. The show is not a normal tv 14 if parents think Sex And The City was bad they have not seen Weeds even South Park is not as bad as Weeds anything on Showtime or HBO has a lot of Bad Words since it is a premeum chanel they can show and say what they want. I dont know if I have ever seen a show that has this much profanity They will put to many Fwords and Swords They will say a lot of Religious jesters that are bad the jesters will include bad words. A average Epesode would have about 10 15 fwords at the least. Sex goes on a lot. We see breasts and Bottems. The violence is not to bad in the early seasons around season 4 it gets bad. All and All Weeds is a good show but not for people under 14

Enjoyable but explicit.

A fantastic show with SOME good role models. I started watching this when I was 11 and really enjoyed it. For parents: The sexual content is rather explicit but isn't too frequent eg. once every few episodes when the plot is complex but sometimes there can be quite a few scenes in just one. Violence is not an issue but as it is in the drug world deaths do occur, but hardly ever gruesome ones. Drug use is really frequent with main characters ingesting and manufacturing every illicit drug under the sun, so a large concern for some of you. I suggest you watch it with your kids and if you feel uncomfortable with them viewing it then it's your decision.

good show

The show has violent throughout seasons, there are no positive messages or role models. There are sex scenes in some episodes involving characters and main characters, the show contains graphic language, there are some visible logos, and there is defitnitly drug use and drug dealing in the show.

Great show for adults only

I would say not appropriate for anyone under 21! Haha . Lots of sex, drugs, every kind of cuss word. Definitely a very interesting addictive tv show.

Weeds is 4 everyone

i luv weeds it is so addictive. it is all about sex, drugs and money but conveys deeper messages about serious matters such as drug abuse, sex, politics and racial discrimination. therefore everyone should watch this show to be entertained and educated.

Definitely not suitable

Although there is little violence sex scenes are trough the roof. There is graphic sex scenes and at one point in season 3 Andy works at a porn scene as a cook and later as a porn star (Foot Fuckers as 2 of his 10 toes are missing due to a graphic encounter with a dog) throughout the scene a penis is seen, buttocks and breasts are also seen. The main character (a mother) is a pot dealer and is constantly with more serious dealers (heroin, cocaine, sex and organ industry, firearm industry etc. Later her kids get involved in the drug trade. A 13 year old has a threesome with two girls. There is constant viewing of homosexual relationships and sex. A character abuses a long list of drugs both pharmaceutical (Which she buys from a pharmacy in Mexico) and street drugs. (Cocaine, Heroine, Weed and for pharma Xanax, Oxycontin etc.) In season 7 there is a heroin abuser which OD`s and is temporarily paralysed. Even though it is a great drama show I don`t recommend it to anyone under the age of 17. I forgot to mention that all characters swear and most can`t even keep one sentence in a paragraph clean from BAD profanity (Heavily Sexual such as Tag-Team, Pussy, Penis, Cunt, Fuck etc. They are used for both sexual and offensive references. Also the show shows a enormous deal of corruption. Ex A character is married to a drug dealing illegal Mayor of a city in Mexico. Towards the end of the show a character became a police man and lots of corrupt things are show ex. Police give out and sell expensive cars that have been seized, A fake interrogation is set. This show still remains amazing being funny, dramatic etc. but remains for an older audience.

Lovable characters live happy lives

The weed family is your typical suburban family with some classic cult comedy kicked into it. Fun, exciting, and totally appropriate for the whole family.

AWSOME SHOW. STRONG DRUG RELATED THEMES

Parents should be aware that weeds is not a television show for children. The drugs are main concern. one teenage girl says that it is the great work of god. Sex scenes are awkward and appear at random times, very graphic, and a scene where they are in a porn set. mature fifteen to seventeen year olds would find this show engaging, and they are sometimes consequences for dealing. Language is unbelievably strong with frequent use of f*&k, c*&t used by both adults 10 year olds and teenagers. they use the "N" word and one white cop puts a gun on a black man's head and makes the insult. the show is really adult orientated, for older teens and adults only

Weeds - Mature, explicit, but excellent.

Weeds is an amazing, and highly addicting comedy-drama, about a suburban widowed mother raising money for her family by selling marijuana, but getting caught up in the corruption of the drug business. Although mainly a comedy, the show features sexually and emotionally disturbing material best suited to older viewers. In many episodes we see semi-explicit sex scenes with thrusting/moaning and bare butts, but no frontal nudity. On occasion we see explicit sex scenes that feature bare breasts, and/or BDSM-related material (whipping, choking, spanking). On occasion we also see nudity in a non-sexual context, ranging from moderate to explicit and featuring bare breasts, non-detailed views of male and female genitalia, and bare butts. Most episodes feature moderate to strong sexual jokes and references as well. The entire show is about dealing marijuana, and features extensive and frequent use of marijuana. The show also features non-frequent heavy drug material such as sight of heroin, a character acting high from ecstasy, non-detailed view of cocaine use, implied use of pills (mostly Xanax), and references to heavy drug use. One character has an addiction to alcohol and is almost constantly drinking, and many other characters drink alcohol (including children and teenagers on occasion). Many characters smoke cigarettes and cigars as well. Language is very strong, featuring "f*ck" and "sh*t" very frequently. Milder PG-rated language, and other words like "b*tch" and "g*ddamn" are also used frequently. Very offensive words such as "c*nt" and slurs such as "f*ggot" and "n*gger" are used many times throughout the series, though not frequently. Violence is occasionally strong, but fairly infrequent, and very tame compared to most cable shows. A minor character is impaled with a drone and we see a blood splatter, as well as his corpse. A character has his toes bitten off by a dog. It is implied another character is skinned alive, and we see some bloody detail, but we don't see an explicit or graphic view of his body. Throughout the series other characters are shot and injured or killed with some bloody detail, but not much gore. A character is bludgeoned to death. Characters are occasionally punched or beaten, with some mild/moderate blood. Characters make questionable decisions, and although they are good-hearted people, they cannot be seen as positive role models. There are some positive messages about importance of family, but they are masked and ultimately overpowered by the negative messages about drugs and morality. The series is rated TV-MA due to it's strong language, nudity, and mature/drug-related material. The less sexually explicit episodes might be OK for a mature 15 year old, but the more sexually explicit episodes are best suited to adults. In general, older teens (16+) can handle the content in Weeds, but should proceed with either caution, or with parental supervision.

Great show... Not for Kids!

This show features strong drug content throughout such as use, dealing, and more. There is nudity present in the show such as breasts and in one episode there is nudity that is fully shown at a porn set. Along with that some episodes that contain sex scenes that show thrusting and have sexual sounds, and every now and then this may contain nudity. There is infrequent violence, but when it occurs it can be graphic and brutal such as shootings and what seems like torturous acts that are quite disturbing. There is strong language throughout the show. Not for early teenagers. Suggested MPAA R: Pervasive Drug Content and Language, Some Graphic Brutal Violence, Strong Sexual Content including Graphic Nudity, and Disturbing Images.

15+

This show has every swear word you could think of (f--k, s--t, b-tch) and is constant. Sex is a big factor in this show with showing breasts, backside, and in a couple cases men's genitals. Definitely not for younger kids but older teens can handle it.

Good show, not for young kids.

Its a good show, even though it contains content inappropriate for young teens and kids. Other than that the show has a good story line and alot of crazy scenarios and a bit of crude humor.
