Kid reviews for IMVU

This game is NOT for kids. I signed up initially to customize my avatars for fun. I used my real age for this account and going into the store I saw a bunch of 18+ stuff(I'll go into detail later in this review). I had heard there were separate sections for adults and kids but I listed myself as 17, and usually adult sections are 18+. So as an experiment I put my age to 13 on a brand new account and right off the bat you can see the same thing I saw on my main account: explicit chats in recommended (sex, blood, drugs, etc) and even in the shop if you go to the "avatars" section there is a shirtless woman avatar you can buy + many explicit titles, emotes and more. Most include sexual things and drugs. It makes me so mad that kids can sign up and be exposed to this stuff, this game has terrible moderation. In the Android app store it even says it's 17+ yet I was able to sign up saying I was 13 years old. Do not let your kids on this app. I'd say you should be at least 17 and even with that I don't think you should want to support a game that lets kids be exposed to this stuff. I made an account not planning to do the social stuff because of the kids on here and when I saw all this stuff I was disgusted. Can't believe there are kids on there and the mods are doing nothing about it.

This app has access to chat rooms where you can be exposed to talk about inappropriate subjects, I only use the app for syling character and the items are amazing and very realistic.

imvu is not for kids. I'm not giving it 1 star or anything since it's not a bad game for people who are mature enough to use it. I'm gonna say imvu is 16+ cuz there are some information kids should not be knowing right now and knowing it could change the way kids see the world. The characters are a bit detailed and some of the clothes are inappropriate too. Letting your child use imvu would not be a good idea. Their behaviour would completley change and its not the good kind of behaviour. There's a lot of swearing and a lot of innapropriate stuff that your child shouldn't be exposed to just yet. There are a lot of cyber bullying too. Over all, 15-16 year olds are allowed to use it if they use it PROPERLY. fyi: I actually used imvu when I was 9 and lets say that i deleted it right after i got it. I knew this game was not for children like me.

I only use IMVU to create some characters for my fantasy content. The avatars look so good and I like that I can pose them. I never ever go into chat rooms or do any chatting. I also physically covered my webcam so strangers would just end up with black screen. I think parents should decide based on their teens maturity for if they can play, as long as they never chat.

If you are going to use imvu please use your actual name and not a nickname or a middle name. If your account gets on hold they want you to call them and be rude to you. They employees there are rude. My account was on hold for over a month now and when i called they kept askin for pictures of the card even tho i never used my card i only used surveys for credits. So I suggest if your gonna have anything to do with help be a vip membor so you can talk to someone on the spot rather than calling rude, impatient and ignorant. I called 2 times and now their saying i have over 2 owners on the account i provided them with my information and its not good enough for them i suggest you all to not ever play this game.
