Talk to your kids about ...

  • Families can talk about the many accomplishments and achievements Beatrix Potter had in her lifetime. Why was it so unusual for a woman in the early 1900s to have such success? What made it difficult? Who are some successful female authors today?

  • Why Peter Rabbit and his pals are such endearing, enduring characters. What makes them so special? Who is your favorite character and why? What other classic books are your favorites?

  • How kids should still limit their screen time, even when they find fun, engaging sites. What other activities can you do away from the computer that could incorporate Beatrix Potter characters?
