What’s It About?
PETER RABBIT enables young kids and generations of fans to dive deeper into Beatrix Potter's stories. Characters from her most popular books are introduced, and a variety of interactive games let kids slip into the stories and play along. There are a number of activities, including e-cards and printable coloring pages, as well as free teaching modules for educators. Get a glimpse into Potter's life and accomplishments through an easy-to-navigate timeline and brief biographical tidbits that kids can read or adults can read aloud.
Is It Any Good?
Beatrix Potter's stories are loved all around the world, and Peter Rabbit perfectly captures their charm and stays true to her illustrations. Not only does the site offer an introduction to the characters and stories, but it seamlessly incorporates games and activities that will captivate and entertain young kids. The chronological overview of Potter's life and achievements is a bonus that puts her works in historical perspective. There is, however, a sales component to the site, which features a gift shop and book shop that make it incredibly easy to see -- and purchase -- the plethora of products related to Peter Rabbit and the other Potter characters. Still, it is an enchanting site for young kids to explore and parents will enjoy how well it evokes memories of their own childhood books.
