Educational, too? Who knew!
Thanks for reviewing my book, CHICKEN BUTT! I just wanted to point out that it is a fun choice for kids who are learning about rhyming (3-6 year olds). While reading aloud, you can pause (as in "You know who?" "Who?"...) and before you turn the page ask the child or children to predict the rhyme. Kids love inventing their own variations... Chicken SHOE! Chicken STEW! Chicken BOO-HOO! and this book provides lots of opportunities to have fun playing with words.

Guess who? Chicken Tattoo!
My daughter and I love this book! It naturally lends itself to being "read" together, and can provide some great prereading skill building through the "reading" of the text which is repetitive and easy to memorize. The book also provides a great educational opporutnity to explore rhyming words and word families. Plus, it's funny, and just the kind of pestering humor young children seem to favor.
