What parents need to know

Parents need to know that the emotional turmoil continues in this second sequel, with a horrible invasion of privacy and writing that keeps kids zooming forward.

  • The main character's boyfriend broadcasts her private pain over the radio for his own personal gain.
  • The main character continues to deal with belonging to two families, and also with the treachery of her boyfriend.
  • Not applicable.

What's the story?

Janie's boyfriend, Reeve, now living at college, wants to be a radio DJ. Given his chance and desperate for something to say, he begins to tell Janie's story to all of Boston. Reeve becomes a huge hit until Janie visits Boston and tunes in. This third book in the series continues suspense and page-turning excitement.

Is it any good?

The suspense doesn't let up in this second sequel to Caroline Cooney's gripping The Face on the Milk Carton, the story of how Janie Johnson recognized her own picture as a 3-year-old missing child. This book will fascinate young readers weaving their way through the intricacies of love, loyalty, strength, and weakness.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THESE BOOKS!
Love all these books. Started them in 7th grade and still enjoy picking them up. Kind of confusing, but still REALLY good. READ THEM ALL.

It was ok.
Confusing story. I really liked the first and second book in this mini-series but this was just not really worth my time. To bad.

Not as good as Face on the Milk Carton and Whatever Happened to Janie?....
but still a must read. Once you start the Janie series you MUST finish them. The book was good, but not as good as the previous two. It was still a great book, though.
