Here's a BIG recommendation, get the Japanese version by all means! The English version picked some pretty crummy songs for this kind of game. The Japanese version has some of the best songs ever written and those songs will really help get the player into the rhythm. Sure, they hired some other singer for the songs instead of the using the actual original songs, but you get the point.

What Parents Need to Know
About Donkey Konga
Parents need to know that this is a great choice for families looking for titles that promote social gaming. It has the added benefit of requiring kids to be physical while they play (they drum on bongos and clap). However, to make this game work, you will need to invest in additional DK Bongo controllers that cost $29.99 each because the game only provides one set of controllers.
