What Parents Need to Know

This review of NCAA Football 05 was written by Liz Perle

Parents need to know that this football strategy game minimizes child frustration in two ways -- one is that there is an excellent "ask the coach" feature to help with plays, and the second is that the teams can be made humorous by having mascot heads instead of human heads.

What’s the Story?

This is the first NCAA Football offered not just for Playstation 2 or Nintendo GameCube but for Xbox as well. Besides the standard features of game play and strategy, a key component in this game is how the fans react to teams as the atmosphere in the stadium directly affects how well the players do. Other features help you to find mismatched players and use that information to your advantage (Match-up stick).

Is It Any Good?

Fan celebrations for big plays exist -- like the Gator Chomp and the Texas Hook 'Em Horns -- and the action can get pretty rowdy.

    it's good

Me and my brother where hooked on this game. It takes time to get good and it also takes thinking. The thinking are things suchas if you favor one reciver the defence will cover him tightly or if you keep running the same play the defence will use a play that's good against what you're doing. This game will not get boring there are many diffrent things you can do such as create a school. If your looking for a good college sports game this is a good game.

    Pretty good game.

I'm normally not into sports games, but NCAA 2005 got me hooked! I would say not the best game, but it should be one of your favorite games if you like college football.
