What Parents Need to Know
This review of The Tuttles Madcap Misadventures was written by Jinny Gudmundsen
Parents need to know that by purchasing this game, at least half of the proceeds will go to the Starlight charity. If you purchase the boxed version, fifty percent of the cost goes to the charity, while with the downloadable version (www.tuttlesfamilygame.com), the charitable amount rises to seventy-five percent. Because the game can be played on three levels of difficulty, it is a game the whole family can enjoy.
Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation and how it helps sick children and their families. Did you buy this game because you expected it to be fun or because it was for charity? Do you think more games should be created to raise money for charity?
More on The Tuttles Madcap Misadventures
What’s the Story?
The Tuttles is an old-fashioned side-scrolling game, reminiscent of classic Mario games from Nintendo, where players collect items, jump from platform to platform to navigate a level, and stun baddies by leaping on their heads. For example, while in the desert looking for more gas for the family's van, you must avoid scorpions, cobras and prickly cacti. As the desert levels get harder, you also encounter walking mummies and wriggling green vipers. There are 40 levels of solid platform puzzle play.
